Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is nearing the middle of its third season. That means everyone can expect COD: MW3 Season 3 Reloaded soon. And with it comes new modes, maps, weapons, and more.

What is the Call of Duty: MW3 Season 3 Reloaded release date?
Season 3 Reloaded for MW3 and Warzone drop at the same time. You won't have to wait long, as the mid-season update goes live on May 1 at 9 a.m. PT. This is for all platforms the games are available on.
New game modes for MW3 Season 3 Reloaded
Two new game modes will be added with the mid-season update.
Minefield
Minefield is a variant for several multiplayer modes in MW3 Season 3 Reloaded. The rules of each remain the same, but with one added feature. Eliminated players drop a Proximity Mine where they fall, eventually covering the battlefield with them as the game goes on.
Escort
The new Escort mode sees teams take turns escorting a MAW through the map. The main goal is to escort the MAW, hack three pivotal points, and prevent the other team from gaining ground. There are two rounds, with whoever hacks the most points or all three the fastest declared the victor.
New maps for MW3 Season 3 Reloaded
Just as there are two new modes, two new 6v6 core multiplayer maps are on the way.
Grime
The setting of Grime is an abandoned corner of London. The map is filled with graffiti, with docks and a canal that can be traversed. As a derelict urban location, players will need to use every trick up their sleeve to succeed here.
Checkpoint
Checkpoint is based on Rebirth Island's Stronghold POI. The new map coming with MW3 Season 3 Reloaded showcases a military comms outpost, that emphasizes ground combat throughout its armory, garage, and other structures.

Arcade
Arcade will support many maps and modes, while featuring special powerups and weapon pickups. Eliminated enemies drop powerups, which can grant you unlimited ammo or grenades. Unique weapons are spread across the mode, with things like increased melee distance and explosive ammunition.
Vortex
The Vortex playlist returns. The limited-time mode turns well-known maps into infected arenas. Airborne, Satan's Quarry, Skidgrow, Sporeyard, and Tetanus are here with the Vortex Mosh Pit playlist to make you lose your mind.
New Field Upgrade and Equipment for MW3 Season 3 Reloaded
Two pieces of utility are here for you to take into battle.
Enhanced Vision Goggles
This new Field Upgrade allows you to toggle it on and off for improved target acquisition. It has a battery indicator that depletes when used. You'll see this displayed as the Field Upgrade charge.
EMDÂ Mine
The EMD Mine is a new piece of Tactical Equipment. It is a proximity-triggered mine that can stick to surfaces. It attaches to nearby enemies when triggered, revealing their position on the minimap.
New weapon for MW3 Season 3 Reloaded
One new weapon is arriving with the mid-season update.
BAL-27
- A bullpup prototype weapon designed to increase fire rate over time while the trigger is squeezed. The first 4 shots are slower to fire but highly accurate.
This assault rifle comes with a quick reload speed and a firing mechanism unique to it. The first four shots favor accuracy, while the rest deliver a higher rate of fire.
It is unlockable through a new Sector in the Season 3 Battle Pass, and introduces the Sunset Waves, Simpler Times, Electro Torrent, and Sunny Side weapon camos.
