Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features the all-new Mastery Badges system. Read on for everything to know about this system, including how it works, the different Black Ops 6 Mastery Badge tiers, categories, and more.

In Call of Duty Black Ops 6, the Mastery Badges system lets you showcase your expertise with Weapons, Equipment, Field Upgrades, and Scorestreaks. As you play either Multiplayer and Zombies mode, you can unlock a series of these badges for each piece of gear.

"Unlock the Mastery Badge for a piece of content and a Stat Trat tracker is added to the Badge, showing off how many times you’ve had success with that piece of content," Activision explained. "Always wanted to let players know you’ve earned 10,000 Eliminations with your Weapon of choice? Now you can."

Each game mode has its own set of Mastery Badges that can be tracked. In Multiplayer mode, progress is earned by being successful with your different Weapons, Frag Lethal Equipment, Prox Alarm Tactical Equipment, Trophy System, and the Remote Controlled-Explosive Device (RC-XD). As an example, the Frag Grenade has separate badge tracks for both Multiplayer and Zombies. To earn these badges, you must use Frag Lethal Equipment in each mode.

There are three Mastery Badge tiers in the game. They include Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

You can aim for a Diamond Badge Upgrade that includes an XP bonus as well. This is granted after unlocking Mastery Badges for a required number of item types in each available category. For example, in Multiplayer mode, you can earn Diamond Badges for the Scorestreak category by achieving Gold Mastery Badges with all 18 Scorestreaks at the game's launch.
