Call of Duty fans react to recent Modern Warfare 2 beta weapon leaks

The most recent Modern Warfare 2 beta weapon leak has fans excited about the guns available in the game and how they look and sound.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta is upon us but it's not enough for some eager players who have already started digging up even more content. This time, about a dozen weapons for multiplayer have been leaked.

Some of the leaked weapons have been part of previous leaks and some have come as a surprise to Call of Duty fans. Reddit user u/Gianji90 was one of the Xbox players who was able to access Local Play and capture videos of the weapons being used.

When the preload went live for the Xbox beta on September 21, the Reddit user in question was one of a handful of players that went into private matches with the MW2's guns unlocked. All they had to do was press B while it was connecting. The issue was patched in about 20 minutes, but he was still able to capture footage of the Modern Warfare 2 beta weapons in action.

Here are the leaked guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2:

  • PP19 Vityaz
  • PP19 Bizon
  • Barret MRAD (AX-50)
  • RPG-7
  • Remington 870
  • Browning 725
  • AK 105
  • AK 103
  • TAQ 556 (SCAR-L)
  • MPL (MP7)
  • RPK
  • Desert Eagle

Some of the weapons are from the original Modern Warfare game from 2019, including the Desert Eagle, MP7, and SCAR-L. There are also some new weapons coming to multiplayer as well, including PP19 Vityaz and the AK 105.

The new weapons will be part of the same family as other weapons. To use them, players will have to unlock another weapon in the same family. The attachments will be shared across all weapons.

So far, the Modern Warfare 2 beta weapons have been a big hit with the Call of Duty community. Some applauded the guns' designs, animations, and sounds. While CoD gamers have been frustrated with a lot of Infinity Ward's choices regarding the mini-map and perk system, many are in agreement that developers did a great job with the weapons.

Said one fan on Reddit: "The AK models look incredible, I'm glad that they get a muzzle by default this time. Really happy that we get both the Vityaz and Bizon this time too. It's clear that IW listened to everyone's weapon related feedback and requests from MW19."

There are even more weapons on the way in Modern Warfare 2, which will most likely be revealed over the next few weeks.
