There are two types of Augments – Minor and Major.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is one of the most anticipated video games of the year. The Cold War-themed game brings back Round-based Zombies and is developed by Treyarch and Raven. It is a spy-action thriller set in the early 90s with sixteen new maps and many new features. One such feature are Augments that will reinvent Call of Duty gameplay.
What are Augments in Black Ops 6?
In Call of Duty, there are research paths for players to improve their weaponry. Each perk, Ammo mod, and Field Upgrade requires players to have conducted research to unlock these upgrades. The Research Path is accessible in the menu and you can access the menu in between matches. Revelations you make during your research allow you to unlock the true power of each item, which takes the form of Augments. Augments allow players to customize each perk, Ammos, and Field upgrade with modifiers both minor and Major.
Every item has six augments - three minor and three Major. Unlocking these augments allows you to use your weapon optimally. There are two types of Augments - Minor and Major. As the names suggest, the Minor Augments offer a limited advantage while the Major Augment will have a ‘substantial advantage’ as an item upgrade.
- A Minor Augment offers a limited advantage to the item, usually during use.
- A Major Augment offers a substantial advantage to the behavior of the item, usually during use.
Black Ops 6 allows you the flexibility to customize your Augment research path based on your gameplay style. Augments are designed to create a deep progression path and they also offer you the ability to go into research that benefits your style of play.
How to Unlock Augments in Black Ops 6?
Augments are a core part of Black Ops 6 and players can unlock them by simply playing the game. The more you play, the more augments you can unlock and you can do so by going into the menu in between matches.
