The MK.78 is the first light machine gun that you have access to in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. It's unlocked immediately, and it's only one of two LMGs in the entire game. While many players tend to shy away from LMGs due to their limited mobility, long reload times, and questionable damage, the MK.78 is certainly a strong weapon in Black Ops 7 when you equip its best loadout.

Best loadout for the MK.78 in Black Ops 7
On the surface, the MK.78 looks like your standard LMG that doesn't do anything particularly special. However, thanks to some key attachments, you can make the MK.78 into a few different versions of itself, allowing for extra versatility. We'll be using one of those unique builds for the MK.78 that turns it into an extremely fun weapon to run around any map with in Black Ops 7.

The main element of our loadout for the MK.78 is the magazine Prestige attachment, which is the MFS Heatshield Belt. This magazine allows you to never reload again, but you'll now have an overheat meter that stops you from firing for too long before having to recharge the gun. This is a worthwhile trade-off, as you can easily prevent overheating and can always have bullets available.
The rest of the loadout focuses on mobility, accuracy, and damage range, making the MK.78 a solid all-around weapon that can compete with any other gun at mid-range. While your mobility will still be slow, that's just life with an LMG in Black Ops 7.
