Brazilian esports organization Vivo Keyd Stars is working with online iGaming platform Estrelabet to put eyes on a nationwide blood drive.

Brazilian esports organization Vivo Keyd Stars and online gambling platform Estrelabet are working together to encourage gamers, esports fans, and the general public to donate blood.

Bet on Life - Be a Hero

The nationwide blood campaign called "Bet on Life - Be a Hero" is a call to support the efforts to bolster Brazil's healthcare system and the need for blood. This campaign was promoted by players under Vivo Keyd Stars, including the members of their Counter-Strike 2 team, Felipe "flash" Porfirio and Leonardo "leo_drk" de Oliveira.

Interested parties will be able to donate blood on July 14 at the Pró-Sangue Foundation Posto Clínicas in São Paulo. Note that the standard eligibility criteria for blood donations will be followed during this drive.

Donors are encouraged to mention the campaign involving Vivo Keyd Stars and Estrelabet at the clinic. Players under VKS will also be present in an effort to further encourage donors.

Executives from both parties involved shared some words about the initiative. “The gaming community is extremely participatory and we believe in the power of this engagement for causes that generate real impact. Donating blood is a simple gesture that can save many lives," said Estrelabet's Head of Branding Victor Blecker.

Meanwhile, Vivo Keyd Stars CEO Hugo Tristão said, "Donating blood is a way to support your team. In the game, we can heal or provide that decisive cover. In this case, the team is society, when it needs it most. Participating in this campaign with our players is a way to show that values such as solidarity, collective spirit and commitment are common to any sport, including esports."

Estrelabet was granted a full license to conduct iGaming activities by the Brazilian government earlier this year. They partnered up with Vivo Keyd Stars soon after, and became one of their primary sponsors. On top of their CS2 squad, the org also fields a League of Legends roster, currently competing in the LTA Sul.
