UNO debuts new games, themed suites with Las Vegas launch

UNO fans are in for a treat as the UNO Social Club makes its debut at a casino in Las Vegas. See how the classic card game is being brought to a wider set of audiences, how its themes are applied, and what games players can enjoy.

The world's first UNO Social Club launched at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier this year. The launch contest concluded last month, where one winner will get to enjoy a three-day stay and play at the UNO Social Club suite at the Palms Casino Resort.

“We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine what game night can be—bringing people together for real-world fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition,” said Vice President and Global Head of Games at Mattel, Ray Adler. “The UNO Social Club in Las Vegas is just the beginning, and we’re excited to see how these new experiences inspire players to show up, play hard, and make unforgettable memories.”

The social club has themed rooms and games, bringing an UNO feel to all players.

UNO game tables in the suite will have the classic UNO, of course, but patrons can also find decks and games that bring a twist to normal gameplay.

UNO Golf

Follows the same ground rules as classic UNO: match numbers and colors, but your cards are all laid out, and you must get rid of high cards while keeping low-value cards. The player with the lowest score by the end of the game wins.

UNO Teams

Players team up in pairs of two, and both must empty their hands to win.

UNO Show 'em No Mercy

This game features a lot more cards, harsher penalties, and new rules that will spice up your gameplay. As a concession, there are two ways to win: get rid of all your cards or eliminate everyone else.

According to the Palms, the UNO Social Club can be expected to pop up across the country this year. Bars and venues in major U.S. cities will be adorned in the classic red, yellow, blue, and green palette, themed drinks, game tournaments, and more.
