Battlefield 6’s multiplayer reveal confirmed the release date for the game, as well as a double open beta weekend in August 2025.

After a week of speculation, rumors, and leaks, Battlefield 6 has revealed the release date for the next game in the franchise. With a single-player showcase on July 24, BF took center stage in the eyes of those faithful. Many already knew that this game would make or break the franchise, and BF6 needs to be something special. However, directly after the reveal of Battlefield 6's return to single-player story, some noticed a few details relating to the release date.

As the rumors and leaks swirled, this week, we essentially got confirmation of them. But it was not until July 31, with the multiplayer reveal, that Electronic Arts affirmed the suspicions of the previous week.

July 31 saw the reveal of Battlefield 6’s multiplayer feature, as well as the confirmation of the game’s release date. While many had already seen the leaks posted throughout the past week, everyone awaited their first look at the game. With testing ongoing on Battlefield Labs, some had the chance to already experience the game firsthand. However, this testing state is a far cry from what will be released (we hope).

In their reveal, Electronic Arts showed off some of the game’s features, such as the long-awaited return of destructive environments. Set in 2027, the game will bring the game back to the present, instead of the terrible futuristic warfare of the previous title. The reveal showed off a few maps and went into details about classes. Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon are reintroduced.

The most important part, though, was the reveal of a release date for Battlefield 6. Much like all the leaks pointed to, October 10 is when players will be able to get their hands on the game. With the franchise needing to perform well after Battlefield 2042 struggled in its early stages, many may be reticent to pre-order.

Thankfully, everyone will get a chance to test the game before making their decision, with two separate open beta weekends. However, there does seem to also be a closed beta for 2 or 3 days before this. This will include players who have pre-ordered a specific edition and those who received a Twitch Drop code.

They ended with a hint at what was definitely the Battle Royale mode for the game. However, that will head to Battlefield Labs first. For now, Oct 10 is going to be the date for the game's release, and we await it with bated breath.
