Team Nemesis can still win the EMEA ALGS Pro League, but need results to go their way.
Team Nemesis denied Alliance a fourth consecutive ALGS Pro League win, racking up a phenomenal amount of kills in the final set of matches ahead of the EMEA Regional Finals.
Alliance came narrowly short of winning yet another ALGS Pro League day. Experienced IGL Hakis couldn't close out a 1v1 to win game six and earn the last couple of points they needed to take first place on the day.
However, the 21 points they earned today by coming second helps further extend their dominant position at the top of the overall standings.
Team Nemesis move to cusp of ALGS Midseason Playoff spot
Team Nemesis's win today moves them to the cusp of a spot at the ALGS Midseason Playoffs, with just the Regional Finals left to play. This year, more points are on offer in the Regional Finals meaning a lot more can change on the final day.
However, with that said, it would take a huge upset and a truly terrible performance from Team Nemesis for them to end up not competing in Riyadh later this summer.
The standout quality from Team Nemesis today was their absolute ferociousness in fights. They racked up enough kill points to finish third overall without a single placement point. While the Regional Finals will be a step up in quality, confidence is key and consistently dropping so many kills is a really impressive feat at this level.
