Spacestation Gaming are Split 2 Playoff Champions.

Spacestation Gaming won the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs in Mannheim. The trio of Phony, Koyful and Xynew closed out a Match Point win in game ten, pipping the likes of Gaimin Gladiators and Alliance to the title.

This win makes Koyful one of the games youngest ever LAN winners, having only graduated High School this summer.

Elsewhere, 'super team' Falcons had a disastrous performance. The NA Pro League Champions, and pre-event favourites, finished rock bottom in 20th place. Their spot at the ALGS Championship is already secured, so they will have a chance at redemption in January.

Spacestation Gaming win first major ALGS title

This was the first major title for Spacestation Gaming in the ALGS too. The organisation, with a different team, nearly took the ALGS Championship in 2022, but were denied by DarkZero. For the organisation, this win justifies their return to Apex Legends having exited in 2023.

For the players, it marks a milestone at various points in their career. Phony announces himself as one of the leading IGL's in the ALGS. Koyful finally has his big breakthrough, proving why he is one of the highest rated youngsters in the entire game. Then for Xynew, he picks up a second LAN title. This draws him closer to the likes of Zer0 and Genburten. Very few players have won multiple ALGS LAN events.

Gaimin Gladiators and Alliance pipped to title

Elsewhere, Alliance and Gaimin Gladiators both put in very strong performances in Sundays Match Point finals. Combined, this performance could be very important for the EMEA region to secure more LAN slots in the future.

Gaimin Gladiators in particular excelled across the entire tournament. They unfortunately fell foul of a common theme in Match Point finals. The first team to pass the threshold almost always stalls and cannot close out a victory.

Despite this, they can be very proud of their performance. Likewise with Alliance. The loss of star player Effect was obviously a huge blow. However substitute Tylerfps put in a fantastic performance and proved that he can be a top level player with the right team.
