#SaveApexMobile trends on Twitter as Apex Legends Mobile players call EA out cover image

The Save Apex Mobile campaign has gained momentum over the last few days with players calling out EA on their decision to sunset the game.

EA officially announced that it would shut down Apex Legends mobile on May 1, 2023. This announcement surprised many because Apex Legends is among EA's most successful properties. When they launched Apex Legends mobile, it was with the aspiration of competing with already popular mobile BR games like PUBG and Call of Duty Mobile.

It endured a shaky launch, but the developers have been hard at work improving it over time. Enough, in fact to build a loyal player base that enjoys the game on a daily basis. Many Apex Legends Mobile players have been incensed by EA's decision, launching the #SaveApexMobile campaign on Twitter.

The Save Apex Legends Mobile has been gaining some momentum over the last few days. Plenty of leakers are hard at work revealing Season 4 content and it looks great. The game itself is running stable on most devices. In fact, it runs better than games like PUBG, and the mobile-exclusive content made PC and console players quite jealous.

Popular Streamers spearheading the Save Apex Mobile movement

Popular streamers within the Apex Legends Mobile community like 1ceStream, The Gaming Merchant, and ImOw have spearheaded the movement with #saveapexmobile and #saveapexlendsmobile trending on Twitter over the last two days. They've also actively been tweeting about Season 4 content and how much more enjoyable the game itself is compared to other mobile BRs.

Season 4 is looking really good

The developers published the patch notes for Season 4 of Apex Legends Mobile, which goes live on February 15. The update brings a host of exciting content including the Octane heirloom, Olympus, and Horizon. Additionally, new LTMs and an exciting new Tournaments feature are sources of a lot of anticipation among the player base. Many players considered Season 3 to be the best season of Apex Legends Mobile and are looking forward to Season 4.

Officially, Apex Legends Mobile still is getting one final season and sunset is a few months away. With all the fervor around EA's announcement and the #SaveApexMobile movement being as vocal as it is, there's a chance EA might take notice and alter keep the game alive.
