Everything you need to know about todays Apex patch notes.

Respawn have announced a host of changes to Apex Legends, with a surprise reveal of todays Apex patch notes. This is part of a shift towards faster updates, rather than changes coming at the start or half-way point in a season.

These changes bring a Legend back to the table, Revenant. After a period of domination, he was significantly nerfed a few seasons ago. Todays Apex patch notes bring him back and make him viable once more.

There is also some welcome nerfs to Alter and Ballistic, who have both been very strong over the last few months.

Here's everything changing in Apex today.

Todays Apex patch notes in full:

Revenant

+ Legend class: Changed to Assault
Tactical:

  • Minimum pounce velocity increased from 700 to 800, max velocity increased from 1150 to 1400
  • Improved ground detection so guns are faster to come up

Ash

+ Legend class: Changed to Skirmisher
+ Ultimate: Max distance reduced from 100m to 75m

  • Increased chase portal open duration from 8.0s to 10.0s
  • Decreased warning time of portal from 3.5s to 2.5s

Ballistic

  • Base tactical charges reduced from 2 to 1

Analysis: What will todays Apex patch notes do?

Perhaps where eyes will be most drawn too will be the changes to Ash, who has been very popular since she got a bit of a rework in Season 24. Her Dash was a great addition, being both powerful and fun to use.

Respawn are keen to bring her power down a little, while not ruining that fun. That is why changes include an adjustment to her Class. This removes several perks from Ash, without impacting the more felt parts of her kit.

Revenant gets the opposite treatment, picking up some of the more powerful perks that the Assault Class offers. In addition, his pounce now goes a lot further. This is better for aggression, and escaping which allows you to take a bit more risk when playing Revenant.
