The ALGS is once again in the midst of a wide ranging ‘rostermania’ with some of the biggest teams making changes.

The conclusion of the ALGS Open has kicked off a mid-season Rostermania across the vast majority of teams in the EMEA and Americas regions. Changes are impacting teams up and down the Pro League, with well performing and underperforming teams choosing to make adjustments.

This has included some major names, with the likes of NRG and Envy amongst those who will resume the Pro League with a different roster than they left off with before heading to New Orleans. In ALGS Year 5, teams are limited to 2 roster changes per split. That makes such a huge wave of activity even more significant than before.

We've recapped everything going on in the latest round of ALGS rostermania in one place. Bookmark and come back, we'll keep it updated. The ALGS Pro League returns on May 24.

ALGS Rostermania: Americas

The Americas region is no stranger to a huge sweeping set of roster changes. We are once again seeing the ALGS domino effect. One roster move leads to another, and so forth. Several teams are in the midst of making changes with trials taking place now that scrims have resumed.

So far the biggest confirmed roster change is that Sikezz has joined NRG replacing YanYa. This links Sikezz up with his roommate Gild. He'll take up an anchor role on the team after it was decided YanYa needed to move on to find a role more suited to his skillset.

Otherwise, so far we have had mostly confirmed departures. Here's the rundown:

  • Skittlecakes has left TSM and has been added to ENVY on Battlefy
  • Fuhhnq has left Complexity and is currently LFT
  • TSM are trialling PanicApexx
  • Kurevv has left Team Liquid and is set to be replaced by YanYa
  • Nocturnal has been added to Luminosity on Battlefy
  • Sauceror has left Luminosity
  • Team Orchid are trialling Sirsay
  • Digvibezz and Kurevv are both trialling with 9Lies
  • Kimchi is trialling with Fusion, after Trevstacks went LFT
  • Monsoon is trialling with ROC

ALGS Rostermania: EMEA

There are also some major changes to ALGS teams in the EMEA region following the ALGS Open as well. This includes the reigning ALGS Champions, NAVI who have made a surprise roster change just a few months after winning the biggest ALGS title there is.

We might even see an entire Pro League spot vanish completely in the EMEA region. Due to roster change rules the Ninjas In Pyjamas slot is set to disappear completely according to Gnaske. Both Amphy and Naghz have moved on, and SirDel was picked up as a temporary substitute. This used one of the two avaliable roster change slots. However, Gnaske needs two new additions to field a full team for the rest of the split. That means he cannot actually acquire the players he needs to move forward.

The organisation has benched the roster and is understood to be in the process of signing a new team.

  • zhidan has left NAVI
