An easy win for NRG.
NRG were in dominant form as the Americas ALGS Pro League returned following a break for the ALGS Open. iiTzTimmy and Gild made a big call after New Orleans, replacing YanYa with Sikezz and that change seems to be paying off. The team found a fantastic balance between kills and placement and were almost never under pressure in first place.
Elsewhere, big games Shopify Rebellion, 100 Thieves, Falcons and ENVY all also looked in good form posting some important points onto the overall standings.
NRG cruise to ALGS Pro League win
Apex Legends competition can be absolutely nail biting, with tiny decisions causing huge swings in the standings. Today, in America, was not one of those days. NRG started with 28 kills in two games, also posting a second place finish and immediately found themselves in pole position on the leaderboard.

This dominance was to continue for the rest of the day, with another win coming in game four alongside another very healthy 14 kills. This meant that heading into game six, NRG had a lead of 32 points, basically guaranteeing victory.
Todays result looks to be a great sign for the new look NRG team. The decision to replace YanYa was one born out of roles, with the Mexican not enjoying having to anchor on Newcastle. In Sikezz, they have added an experienced and flexible player who is a lot more suited to holding the line for his teammates.
That said, he still posted an impressive kill total of 16 for the day and more than chipped during fights, as he has done consistently no matter what team he is competing with.

Sparrow proves more popular in Americas
Todays games in EMEA and the Americas were the first chance we've had to see Sparrow in ALGS action in these regions. Sparrow was noticeable, but not overwhelmingly popular in EMEA and didn't find himself banned during any of the games.
This was not the case in Americas, with Sparrow being one of the most popular Legends, and being banned in game five. Interestingly, there is a growing difference between the two western regions in the Legends they are using and who gets banned. Bangalore was hardly used in Americas, but became a banned Legend in EMEA for instance.

Sparrow seems to be a useful Legend in the eyes of ALGS Pros. Powerful enough to be impactful, but not a must pick like Alter or Ash for now.
