The EMEA Pro League Split 2 is set.
A dramatic EMEA Pro League qualifier saw several big names fall short, as the eight empty spots were filled. While some more spots could open up as rosters continue to shuffle, todays event guaranteed the top eight teams a space in the Split 2 Pro League.
Killer Whales were the match point winners, booking their guaranteed spot in eight games. King Viktor was in especially good form, dropping a huge 25 kills on the day.
Who made Pro League from the Pro League Qualifier?
The eight teams guaranteed a spot in the EMEA Split 2 Pro League are:
- Killer Whales
- POT
- On Dogs
- 2Fat1Fit
- Take Flyte
- Nameless
- SLR
- UltraMarines
Legion Gaming, FUL and Stay Healthy could also all qualify if teams disband. Rumours are up to three teams could well disband before Split 2. If a fourth team disbanded, CAT who finished 12th would be next in line.

There are some brand new faces amongst the qualifying teams. Amongst the Pro League debutants is Take Flyte, who qualified for the ALGS Open but not the Split 1 Pro League earlier this year. They finished 96th at the ALGS Open and will want to use that LAN experience to establish themselves in the top tier of EMEA ALGS.
Some familiar faces qualified too. This includes Tayko, Askyy, Declx and coach Mixed on SLR and Ojrein, Taskmaster and Prestis on POT.

Some big names miss out
However, some of the relegated teams did miss out. That includes Stay Healthy for now, but also CAT. They were punished for an incredibly slow start, running out of games to complete a very respectable comeback attempt. Some big names, like BRP, didn't make the finals at all. ROB, who were amongst the favourites to qualify also fell short today.
The ALGS Pro League is back on August 30.
