Drop ’em like they’re Sephir-hot with this Death Box skin.
The recently announced Apex Legends x Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Event has another special item for players to unlock this January. Alongside character themed skins, holosprays, and the universal Buster Sword Heirloom comes the Apex Legends FFVII One-Winged Angel Death Box.
The first ever Apex collaboration event with another game also includes the first-ever unique Death Box in Apex Legends. But what exactly is this One-Winged Angel Death Box and how can you unlock it?
What is the One-Winged Angel Death Box?
The One-Winged Angel Death Box will be the first ever cosmetic Death Box in the game. Themed after Sephiroth and his iconic lone wing, the box will be gray and feature the titular wing on the side. All things considered, this unique Death Box could be a player's most used item!
So far, Respawn has not released an official image of the One-Winged Angel Death Box. However, prominent leakers have leaked what is most likely the design of the Apex x FFVII Rebirth Death Box. In fact, the only information that Respawn gave on the Death Box was a single sentence at the end of the Cosmetic section of their blog post.

How to unlock the One-Winged Angel Death Box?
According to the Apex Legends news page, the One-Winged Angel Death Box will be automatically unlocked alongside the Buster Sword when you unlock all 36 cosmetic items in the FFVII event. This is the most expensive Apex Legends event to date, but the Death Box alongside a universal Heirloom may make the price point worth it.
Additionally, the One-Winged Angel Death Box will also be universal, meaning that you can use it with any Legend. This cosmetic Death Box won’t give any advantages and will most likely just serve to mark you as a total Final Fantasy nerd to your fellow players.
The only question now is if the One-Winged Angel Death Box only appears on your Death Box, or if it appears on the Death Boxes of enemies you’ve personally killed. If it’s the latter, then it will be genuinely chilling to see a trail of winged Death Boxes scattered across the map, all killed by the same player. If it’s the former, then it’ll at least be cool to see for a second before you load into the lobby.
The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth x Apex Legends is bringing an exciting collection of cosmetics later this January, so keep your eyes peeled!
