The three players Apex Legends accounts have been compromised.
ImperialHal, Sweetdreams and Rogue have all had their Apex Legends accounts compromised. A mystery group of cheaters has been able to access their account and is actively triple stacked in ranked.
Interestingly, they don't have total control of the account. That makes this different from the usual video-game hacking incidents that are usually down to a weak password or fishing.
Here is what we know about this developing story.
LATEST UPDATE: Respawn announce fix to hack that stole ImperialHal, Rogue and Sweetdreams accounts
Update as of Jan. 17 -- Respawn have announces that they have fixed the exploit that allowed hackers to access several creators and professional players Apex accounts. They have also announces that the accounts have been "restored to their original state."
ImperialHal, Rogue and Sweetdreams have a hacker playing on their accounts
The three accounts in question are currently being shared between their rightful owner and the cheater. ImperialHal and Rogue have actively been playing ranked matches on their accounts, with the cheater also playing ranked at the same time.
The accounts that the cheaters are playing on has the exact same name, same skins and same RP. When the cheater controlled account gains RP, it gets added to the total of Rogue, ImperialHal and Sweetdreams.
However, those players are also still able to access their accounts and play. That means that Rogue, who is streaming a big push for number one Apex Predator, is still able to play normally and gain RP. Likewise, ImperialHal and Sweetdreams can play and use their account seemingly like normal. Sweet was not even aware he had been hacked, until he saw Rogue's tweet.
It's not clear exactly how the hacker has managed to clone or share these accounts. It should not be possible for the same account to be in two different matches at once, especially with RP points combining from the two sets of matches.

Could Rogue's number one grind be interrupted?
Rogue took to X to share his urgent concerns about the ongoing situation. In particular because the Team Liquid streamer is making a push to finish as the games number one Apex Predator. This would be the first time that the Canadian has finished in the top spot, and would be the result of a huge amount of effort.
However, with his account being used by a cheater, he is at major risk of a ban. While EA and Respawn would no doubt investigate and fix this, it would severely hinder his chance of finishing in first place. There is also a ban risk for the accounts of ImperialHal and Sweetdreams who are both preparing for the $2,000,000 Apex Legends Championship that starts in less than two weeks.
Rogue and ImperialHal accounts banned
Jan. 16 update -- Rogue's account has now been banned. ImperialHal also says his account has been banned too. On stream, Rogue has shared that Respawn have told him this is a manual ban, so they can investigate the situation.
