Ash looks outstanding in Apex Season 24.
Ash has become the most picked Legend in Apex Legends, following the new Season 24 update that released yesterday. Ash is currently even more popular than her initial release peak in Season 11. She topped out at just under 21%, but currently sits at over 25%.
When you consider how many more Legends there are in Apex than in Season 11, this makes her surge of popularity even more impressive.

Why is Ash suddenly so popular in Apex?
There are two main factors feeding into the surge in popularity for Ash in Season 24. These come in the form of two separate sets of buffs.
The first are general buffs to the Assault Class in Apex Legends. This included the powerful new Battle Surge mechanic, which gives you a speed boost, faster reload and highlights when you have cracked an enemy. There were other buffs to the class, including a permanent auto reload for their weapons. Essentially Assault Legends have a Gold Magazine at all times in Season 24.
However, on top of that, Ash also got specific buffs to her own abilities. These go alongside the Assault Class buffs.

Ash got a new Predators Pursuit passive, that is a huge factor behind her high pickrate in Apex Season 24. Ash now has the ability to dash in Apex Legends, this unlocks some huge movement potential for her and makes her both powerful and enjoyable to play. Alongside this, her Phase Breach Ultimate was improved significantly, as well as her Arc Snare also getting buffed too.
Overall this makes Ash almost unrecognisable from last season. By giving her so much movement potential, she now stands out as an exciting legend to use. You can hunt your enemies down, escape from tricky situations and do things we have not ever seen in Apex before.
Her popularity may wane, after all people like to try new things but don't always stay with a new or changed Legend. However, for the first time in Apex history, it seems we are finally in an Ash meta in Season 24.
