After ten seasons away, Arenas is back in Apex Legends in Season 25.

Apex Legends is bringing Arenas back for Apex Legends 25. The mode was removed back in Season 15, with the mode not getting enough engagement. Fans have long asked for the mode to return, and now they will get their chance to experience Arenas once more.

The mode is back as a Limited Time Mode, avaliable for the first half of Season 25. It will then be replaced by a 1v1 Arenas mode. This will be the first time official 1v1's have been supported in the game outside of the Firing Range.

Arenas is coming back with a twist, there are some tweaks and adjustments to the format to make things a bit faster, weapon discounts and more.

Apex Season 25:

Arenas returns to Apex Legends

The format of the Arenas LTM will be familiar to those Apex Legends OG's. It will be the same fast paced, 3v3 format with teams playing best of three. Original Arenas maps have been dusted off and will be back in the rotation.

However, the format is being tweaked to keep the action fresh and fast paced. When Arenas releases, matches will be a straight first to three. Previously, if matches were neck and neck there could be a lot of rounds and this is not the case this time around.

In addition, Respawn pointed towards all the changes that have come to Apex Legends since arena was last in the game. There was a major rebalance of weapons, and there has been some new Legends that shake up the game. EA pointed to new Legend, Sparrow, being particularly well suited to Arenas.

Arenas players might remember how stale gameplay became towards the end, with a solid Mad Maggie and Mozambique meta making games quite boring to play.

Across the first half of the season there will be various tweaks and adjustment to the mode to keep it fresh. This will include things like certain weapons being discounted.

As this is an LTM, there will not be a ranked mode. This is also not a permanent return at the moment, but expect to see Arenas beyond Season 25.

1v1 mode coming later in the season

The second half of the season will see Arenas transformed into a 1v1 mode. Players will chain 1v1 matches together and try and win as many matches as they can in 5 mins.

This will be a great way to warm up or simply prove your solo skills in the game. We have never seen a mode like this in Apex before and this seems set to be a really popular option.
