Don’t miss the first ever Apex Legends crossover event!

The Apex Legends x Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth collaboration event will bring several new additions to the Battle Royale. The first ever Apex Legends crossover will see a new weapon, several cosmetics and a game takeover when it releases.

When does the Apex Legends x Final Fantasy 7 event start?

The Apex Legends x Final Fantasy 7 event will start on January 9th. Almost all Apex Legends events release at the same time, 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, and this event should also release at that time.

When the event launches there will be 36 limited edition items to collect, including the Buster Sword R5 Melee Cosmetic. This item will not be available via the Mythic Shop when the event ends. Once this collaboration event is over, all these items are gone for good (probably...)!

Which legends get new skins?

There will be skins for the following legends:

  • Wattson
  • Horizon
  • Crypto
  • Newcastle
  • Wraith
  • Valkyrie

Collecting all the 36 items in the event collection will also grant you the One-Winged Angel Death Box, which is the first of it's kind in the game. This will be equippable with a new Lobby Melee tab that will arrive when the event starts on January 9th.

With so many items and features coming to the game on January 9th, expect at least a decent sized download.

When does the Apex Legends x Final Fantasy 7 event end?

The Apex Legends x Final Fantasy 7 event will end on January 30th. It should end at the same time as the update releases. That gives you three whole weeks to play through all the new content.

The collaboration has a lot of exclusive items, as well as an unique battle royale takeover. While the event is expensive, the Buster Sword Heirloom could actually cost you nothing if you get very lucky with the handful of free event packs.

With that in mind, make sure you don't forget to grind out your challenges before the event ends on January 30th!
