Revenant Reborn is coming for you, skinbag.
Leakers and data miners have been posting about a Revenant update, nicknamed Revenant Reborn, for a couple months now. Now that we’re only a month away from the next season of Apex Legends, we’ve received more solid information about what will change for Revenant.
This update will replace the usual addition of a new Legend for Season 18 in favor of a total overhaul to Revenant’s kit. But what exactly is this rework and what else will be coming out with it?
What updates will Revenant receive?
According to a few reliable leakers and data miners, Revenant will be receiving a major overhaul to his abilities. Here’s what Revenant Reborn will most likely be:
- Passive: Revenant’s current climbing passive will remain, but he’ll also have an additional passive ability that lets him highlight low health enemies.
- Tactical: The current “Silence” ability may be leaving, but instead Revenant will be able to “Super Jump” to a targeted location, which may be to enemies specifically. This tactical would be most similar to Vantage’s tactical.
- Ultimate: Revenant will still use a Totem, but of turning himself and his teammates into shadows, they will instead have health and shield regeneration when knocking and killing enemies.

Alongside this massive change to his abilities, Revenant may also get an update in his lore. Rumors around an upcoming lore event suggest that more of the hostile relationship between Loba and Revenant will be explored in-game in the near future. Perhaps these new abilities will come from this lore event as Revenant gets a new and upgraded simulacrum form.

Many assumed this skin would be for Revenant's Prestige skin when it first leaked. However, as time passed, it became clearer that it would likely instead be used for the Revenant relaunch bundle. In fact, the next Legend to receive a Prestige Skin will be Valkyrie. However, it is clear that this leaked skin is unfinished and will have much more added to it before release.
When will we get official news on Revenant Reborn?
One of Thordan Smash’s recent videos showed teaser dates from the files of the game, showing teaser release dates for the next couple weeks on July 14, July 21, July 22, and July 28. Though we don’t know for certain that these will be about Revenant, it does seem likely. Hopefully more information about this Rev relaunch will come in the near future.
As of the tail end of Season 17, Revenant sits at a 1.8% pickrate according to apexlegendsstatus.com. He’s in the bottom five Legends of the entire game. With this in mind, it makes sense that the developers would look at this long-neglected Legend and try to give him a boost. Are you excited for Revenant to get his massive update?
