Apex Legends Mobile is here! New trailer, details and pre-register

Apex Legends and mobile battle royale game fans rejoice as Apex Legends Mobile is officially unveiled. A launch trailer dropped on the official Apex Legends Mobile Twitter today (March 17th), with a new site filled with information, details and a pre-registration option.

Previously, details about the "Soft Launch" of Apex Legends Mobile was announced, with the game available for pre-registration in just a few countries. But with today's trailer, that registration has been expanded to include numerous other regions and locations.

Apex Legends is the hyper-kinetic battle royale shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by electronic arts. Released almost out of nowhere in February 2019, the game has since grown significantly in playerbase to become one of the most popular battle royal shooters on Xbox, Playstation, and Windows. And, ofcourse, the game has a healthy competitive scene. 

The new version of the game follows the success of PUBG Mobile and Fortnite as battle royale games on the mobile. It’s estimated that PUBG Mobile had over 30 million active users in 2020. However, that number drastically shrank when the game was banned in India, one of the game’s core player bases. A new mobile battle royale like Apex Mobile would be poised to sweep up a lot of those potential players.

Apex Legends Mobile is reportedly set to release later in 2022. At the moment the game is currently just available for pre-register, with no set release date in site. 

What’s more, the game will seemingly stagger it’s release dates across the world, with the site stating that you should “Pre-register now so you can be among the first in your region to drop in at launch.” This implies that different regions will get a chance to play the game before others.

To pre-register for Apex Legends Mobile, head to the official announcement site. There, you’ll be able to pre-register by clicking either the Google Play icon or sign up for details on the iOS version by clicking on the Apple symbol. 

If you’re on mobile, you’ll be able to do this automatically through your phone. On Android, this should also mean you’re sent notifications when the game is released on the Play Store.

As of writing, the game has had at least 7.5 million pre-registrations. And pre-registering doesn’t just give you the benefit of playing the game sooner; there are also milestone rewards for the number of pre-registrations. Currently, a founders badge, a banner frame, Bloodhound banner pose, and an Epic weapon skin have been unlocked. 

As per the website, Apex Legends Mobile will also feature brand new legends in the game. These mobile-first legends will debut in the mobile version of the game first, before making their way to the main game.

What's more, the mobile version promises new maps, gameplay, game modes, progressions and live events. Simply put, this isn't just the same Apex Legends on your phone. It's a game with its own diverse set of features to rival the original. And that gives Apex players a lot more reasons to try the game out.
