The Apex Legends Kill Code story continues with the latest cinematic trailer, where the plot thickens around Revenant’s new rework.
Apex Legends continues to develop the lore around Revenant's fancy new "Revenant Reborn" rework with the Kill Code series. The latest animated short around the series is Kill Code Part 3, where the plot continues, and in chaotic fashion. There's plenty of tiny details to break down in the new cinematic short along with a few hints.
TLDR: Revenant is working with the other legends so that he can die, in true Tsundere fashion.
Lifeline's got a "plan"
With Revenant and Crypto bringing everyone up to speed on the latest developments, the gang agrees they must destroy his head or mainframe. This is located at a Hammond Labs facility on Malta, Salvo, as Revenant voluntarily reveals. All the Legends agree they must find it and destroy it, killing Revenant in the process and ending Duardo Silva's plans.
Except Loba who still wants Revenant to "suffer"--Yeah she's still on about that.
Lifeline proposes a plan to sneak into this facility as a group delivering a Revenant body. Except she's the only one who doesn't cover up her face during the plan, allowing the receptionist to recognize her from the Apex Games.
In typical fashion, the plan falls apart
Of course, since Lifeline gets made, the plan falls apart and the facility's security is called on them. They decide to gun it for the Revenant mainframe and destroy it. A frantic battle ensues between the Legends and the Hammond Labs facility to acquire the mainframe.
This battle includes a Titan that belongs to the facility's security team. At some point, Loba drops her black market to grab one of the Titan's weapons during the exchange but is knocked off her perch. Eventually Duardo Silva swoops in on a chopper, grabs the mainframe from Loba's black market, and flies away.
Titanfall hints in Apex Legends Kill Code Part 3
A lot of the Apex Legends community is aware that they've been dropping Titanfall hints all over the place lately. And the Kill Code Part 3 trailer appears to have plenty of them as well. For starters, the Legends fight and take down a literal Titan in the trailer.
A Titan which looks at Valkyrie and identifies her as "Northstar?" Of course, this is because Valkyrie's gear is partly made of her dad's Titan, Northstar. But to specifically include this detail is an interesting choice. Additionally, Duardo Silva concludes the trailer by referring to Revenant as "Caleb" the man he was before he became the murderbot he is today.
The parting words "I think you will appreciate what is to come, Caleb," hint at his plans for Revenant and the Apex Games in the future.
The Apex Legends Kill Code storyline is going to continue beyond this episode, especially considering the cliffhanger it ended with. It picks up exactly where Kill Code Part 2 ended and drops hints at lore to come in future game updates and cinematic trailers.
