What is the exact chances to get a Heirloom Shards from an Apex pack?

EA have revealed the drop rate for Apex heirloom shards after new regulations in Korea forced gaming companies to release more detailed drop rate details.

Previously the mathematical chance of getting Heirloom Shards out of a pack and was simply listed as "less than 1%." However, Heirloom Shards are guaranteed in Apex Legends after 500 packs. That hasn't changed.

The chance of getting Heirloom Shards from an Apex pack is 0.045%. This was previously listed as "less than 1%." but has now been revealed. This percentage chance does not increase as you work towards 500 packs, but as has always been the case your 500th pack in a row without heirloom shards will have a guaranteed 100% drop rate.

Has the drop rate for Heirloom Shards changed?

Despite EA revealing more information about their Apex packs and their associated drop rates nothing has actually changed today. All the drop rates of items and shards are exactly the same as they have been since the game released.

This announcement was forced by new regulations that came into effect in Korea. These regulations required game developers to reveal more, specific, information about loot boxes and the chances to get specific items from them.

For Apex packs, EA have revealed the 'minimum' drop rates for cosmetics. Because Apex packs have duplicate protection, odds of getting items increases over time. The more you have, the higher chances to get the remaining items or to get crafting materials.
