The full groups for the upcoming ALGS Pro League Split 1 has been revealed.

Ahead of the return of the ALGS Pro League this weekend, EA have revealed the groups for the second split of this years competition.

Just like last year, each region has a 30 team league. A grand total of 120 teams worldwide will compete for their share of $250,000 USD per region in a triple round robin format.

Also on the line is qualification to the $1 million USD LAN playoffs. This will be held during the late Spring, with the full details yet to be announced by the ALGS.

ALGS Pro League groups and seeds

The 30 teams per region have been seeded into 3 groups of 10. Each group matches up 3 times, for a total of 9 game weeks.

The top 20 teams from the 9 weeks of ALGS Pro League group play, then play a match point format regional finals. This will determine which teams qualify for the LAN playoffs, set to take place in June.

The amount of teams qualifying for LAN has been adjusted based on performance across ALGS Year 3, and is now as follows:

  • North America - 12 (+1)
  • EMEA - 8 (-2)
  • APAC North - 8 (-1)
  • APAC South - 8 (+3)

There are also extra qualification slots for the following:

  • South America - 2
  • China - 2

There are a few notable differences from ALGS Year 3. North America is up to 12 slots, with the rest of the three regions all equal at 8. APAC South is the biggest beneficiary gaining three slots. South America retains two slots after the loss of its ALGS Pro League. There are also two invited teams from China.

ALGS Pro League broadcasts

EA has also revealed the ALGS Pro League broadcast talent for the NA and EMEA regions. The majority of faces will be known to Apex fans, having been involved in the ALGS either last year or before. This is Genomes first time casting the Pro League of the EMEA and NA regions.

Broadcasts for the ALGS Pro League will be available on the official Apex Legends Esports channels on Twitch and YouTube. Sadly, the Command Centre will not return for ALGS Year 4 on Twitch. The platform is not being supported any longer. ALGS is looking at options to find a different service to allow fans to watch every teams perspective.

APAC North will be broadcast by esports_rage and APAC South Hub, and APAC South by Longshot.

What time are the NA and EMEA ALGS Pro League matches?

EMEA and North American ALGS Pro League takes place between January 21st and March 17th. Matches are on either Saturday's or Sunday's. There is a mid season break between February 10th and March 2nd. This is to allow teams to adjust to the changes in the Apex Season 20 update.

When are the APAC South and APAC North ALGS Pro League matches?

Both the APAC South and APAC North ALGS Pro League schedules are more compact that NA and EMEA. There are multiple days of back to back match days. Both these regions also have a gap for the Season 20 update.

What maps are played?

The Pro League will feature Worlds Edge and Storm Point again this split. There is still no space for Broken Moon, Olympus or Kings Canyon in the ALGS rotation as things stand.

There was a rumour of Olympus joining the ALGS rotation, but that is not happening until at least the second split of the Pro League.
