Check out some teams from APAC North and South you need to keep an eye on as ALGS 2025 Split 2 begins soon.

As the Apex Legends Global Series 2025: Split 2 Pro League begins across all regions, the strong APAC region is looking to once again heat up the competition. Here are some teams from APAC North and APAC South you should keep your eye on for ALGS 2025 Split 2.

APAC South: VKGaming, Gen.G

VKGaming are coming in hot after their win at the ALGS Midseason Playoffs that happened as part of the 2025 Esports World Cup. This Chinese org with Cai “Kasssa” Denglang in IGL, Wang “LqDuD” Yipeng, and BJJS_012 took the event by storm. They had a slow start, barely avoiding Last Chance as they finished 6th in the Pool Stage. However, they eventually heated up and opened the Finals stage with a 1st place in game 1, and quickly reached match point in game 6. It would then take them three more games for another 1st place to lock in their win.

It’s worth noting that the trio of VKGaming are all on mouse-and-keyboard control schemes, which is a rare sight in the pro leagues. In usual setups, there is at least one member of the team playing on controller. This in itself makes them worth watching, but the fact that they also have to defend their regional championship definitely helps. They are in Group A with teams like Wolves Esports and JD Gaming.

Like VKGaming, Gen.G Esports also had a strong showing in EWC. This Thai squad, comprised of Jirayut “Z1CKKY” Apiwongngam, Lertpong “Dexter” Nakurai, and IGL Papangkorn “ASIAZXD” Pattarawonghan, came in second to VKGaming in Split 1 and fourth in EWC. Whether the momentum is still in their favor is yet to be determined as Split 2 plays out.

Gen.G competes within Group B. Notably, this group has team Tom Yum Kung, who has Patiphan "Patiphan" Chaiwong wearing their colors. Sound familiar? This is the same Patiphan you may have seen competing in the Overwatch League or, more recently, VALORANT for TALON.

APAC North: Fnatic, ENTER FORCE.36

Fnatic finished in tenth in EWC and sixth in Split 1. Coached by ALGS mainstay Shuhei Yamato, this squad is looking to prove that they still have what it takes to lead a region of strong contenders. Speaking of strong contenders, last split’s champions, SBI e-Sports, are also worth watching. After a disappointing 38th place in the Midseason Playoffs, they are looking to bounce back and bring some energy back into the trio.

The South Korean squad of ENTER FORCE.36 is also worth keeping an eye on. They have consistently been competitive in both regional and international stages, and as the only Korean team in APAC-N, they have a lot to prove.
