Top players to deal with Yasuo and Ekko nerfs
For a pretty long time, Yasuo and Ekko were considered broken in 2XKO. The Frosty Faustings winner, bleed, even created a special category for them in his 2XKO tier list, with a gap between it and the usual S-tier.
Both characters were heavily nerfed recently, and Texas Showdown 2026 is the first 2XKO esports tournament in the adjusted meta. Many top players at Texas Showdown previously used Yasuo and Ekko on their teams, and they will now have to adapt to the changes.
- Bleed won the first-ever 2XKO Major with Illaoi/Ekko.
- Globo was 3rd at Frosty Faustings XVIII, and he played Teemo/Yasuo.
- Hikari, the DBFZ legend, had both these characters since his team was Ekko/Yasuo.

As the tournament is in the mixed mode, duos can join the general pools. SonicFox and INZEM have formed a stable team, and they’re in Texas Showdown, too. Their previous team was Ahri for SonicFox and Teemo for INZEM.

The second 2XKO Challenger tournament happens in Europe on the same weekend: it’s viennality XL from March 28 to March 29. Then, we’ll be able to witness the second Major at Evo Japan 2026, from May 1 to May 3.
