Who is the main character in Zenless Zone Zero? (Belle and Wise)

HoYoverse's new mobile RPG Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) has two main characters: siblings Belle and Wise.

However, the form in which you interact with these main characters in ZZZ is unconventional, to say the least. Here is everything you need to know about Belle and Wise, and what you do with them in the game.

When you start playing ZZZ, the game will prompt you to pick between the siblings Belle and Wise. If you choose Belle, for example, Wise will follow you around as an assistant NPC and vice-versa.

Belle is a young girl, while Wise is her older brother. They're very close to one another as they own the video store Random Play in New Eridu, which serves as a central hub where you can get new items and take on quests.

There's not much difference between picking Belle or Wise as you won't use them in combat. They are the main characters, but you'll only use them in New Eridu. Whenever you enter The Hollows — think of it as dungeons in alternate universes — you'll be playing with the Agents you recruit along the way and thus using them in combat, not Belle or Wise.

Belle and Wise are known as Phaethon in New Eridu, and visit the Hollow through a Proxy, their Bangboo.

It's very important that you think through before making your choice as ZZZ doesn't properly allow you to fully switch between Belle and Wise after you choose one of them.

As of right now, the only known way to switch between main characters in ZZZ is by pausing the game while you're in Hollow Exploration as shown in Matt is Playing's YouTube guide. After you pause the Hollow, the character you selected will be interacting with the PC and you'll switch to the other sibling.
