No matter what type of weapon you want to take into combat, we’ve got the best XDefiant loadouts for every class.

XDefiant has plenty of customization when it comes to its weaponry. Its on par with the likes of Call of Duty in that sense. So, if you want to know the best weapon loadouts for Ubisoft's XDefiant, we've got you covered.

There are multiple weapon categories that any FPS veteran is familiar with. And the same goes for the guns in those categories, as the weapons are popular ones often used in shooters. With our help, you'll know which one to use and how to kit it out for each category.

The best XDefiant loadouts

XDefiant has six weapon categories to choose from, which let you create a loadout filled with customization. You pick a gun, add attachments, decide on a secondary, and finish with a Device, which is the likes of a grenade or mine.

More weapons are coming as XDefiant moves through its various seasons. When that happens, there's a chance one of the weapons below is overtaken in terms of the best for its category. If that happens, we'll update you with the new best loadout for that XDefiant weapon category.

Until there, here's each category and the best weapon loadout for it:

Assault

  • Weapon: ACR 6.8
    • Barrel: Recon
    • Front Rail: Handstop
    • Optics: Reflex
    • Magazine: Quick Mag
    • Rear Grip: Heavy Grip
  • Secondary Weapon: M9
    • Muzzle: Brake
    • Optics: Reflex
    • Magazine: Fast Mag
    • Rear Grip: Leather Wrapped
  • Device: Frag Grenade

This XDefiant loadout is all about staying in the game. The ACR is definitely the top Assault-class weapon available. The chosen attachments boost its accuracy, allowing for clean shots, and up its ammo capacity so you can keep on shooting.

The secondary is simple enough. The M9 is a reliable sidearm, and if you need to finish the job, this version will make it easy for you to swap it out and land your shots. Then go with a Frag for the Device to cause some havoc.

SMG

  • Weapon: MP7
    • Front Rail: Tactical
    • Optics: Reflex
    • Magazine: Quick Mag
    • Rear Grip: Grip Tape
    • Stock: Padded
  • Secondary Weapon: M1911
    • Muzzle: Barrel Extender
    • Optics: Reflex
    • Rear Grip: Lightweight Grip
  • Device: Flashbang

The MP7 is arguably the best all-around SMG in XDefiant, and this loadout improves upon that greatly. Yes, mobility takes a slight hit, but you'll be able to ADS with tons of ammo to pick off opponents left and right.

Pair it with the M1911, which receives boosts to its firepower, mobility, and accuracy. If you have to switch to your pistol, it needs to be able to keep up with your primary. This does just that. Lastly, go with the Flashbang to get the party started as you slide into a room or objective location.

Shotgun

  • Weapon: M870
    • Muzzle: Barrel Extender
    • Barrel: Chrome Lined
    • Front Rail: PEQ-15
    • Rear Grip: Quick Draw
    • Stock: Lightweight
  • Secondary Weapon: M9
    • Muzzle: Brake
    • Optics: Reflex
    • Magazine: Fast Mag
    • Rear Grip: Leather Wrapped
  • Device: Frag Grenade

Shotguns are always a powerful choice if you enjoy close combat. There's no better loadout choice than this one for the M870 in XDefiant. Its firepower and mobility receive massive upgrades with the selection of attachments.

You can easily follow up on the damage you do with the shotgun by swapping to the M9. This familiar secondary weapon setup is as reliable as it gets. And of course, top it off with a Frag Grenade to dish out even more punishment.

LMG

  • Weapon: M60
    • Front Rail: PEQ-15
    • Optics: Holo
    • Magazine: Quick Mag
    • Rear Grip: Heavy Grip
    • Stock: Lightweight
  • Secondary Weapon: D50
    • No Attachments
  • Device: EMP Grenade

Most players in FPS games hate when someone uses an LMG. So, that means you absolutely should use the best loadout for the M60 available in XDefiant. It increases its mobility, makes it incredibly accurate, and does not take away from its firepower.

For the secondary, go with the base D50. It is a strong Desert Eagle sidearm that you can have fun with if necessary. Follow that up with an EMP Grenade to shut down devices and abilities. The last thing you want is to storm a room with an LMG full of bullets, only to get hit with a Frag before you can use them.

Marksman

  • Weapon: MK 20 SSR
    • Muzzle: Barrel Extender
    • Front Rail: Pistol
    • Optics: Holo
    • Magazine: Lightweight Mag
    • Rear Grip: Leather Wrapped
  • Secondary Weapon: 93R
    • Optics: Reflex
    • Magazine: Ex Mag
    • Rear Grip: Lightweight Grip
    • Stock: Reinforced
  • Device: Sticky Grenade

Marksman weapons are definitely an acquired taste in XDefiant, but the best loadout for the MK 20 SSR should ease the pain. If you're a Marksman lover, or just need to use one for a challenge, you'll be happy to know this loadout delivers upgrades to all four weapon stat categories.

You'll be dropping enemies from all ranges with this one. And if you get pushed, swap out to the 93R. The attachments make it look a bit funky, but its accuracy is unmatched. Land every shot to finish the job. Then go with a Sticky Grenade to reinforce the emphasis on accuracy here.

Sniper

  • Weapon: TAC-50
    • Barrel: Stabilizing
    • Optics: Variable Zoom
    • Magazine: Quick Mag
    • Rear Grip: Leather Wrapped
  • Secondary Weapon: 686 Magnum
    • Optics: Red Dot
    • Rear Grip: Leather Wrapped
  • Device: Proximity Mine

The final weapon category in XDefiant is the Sniper. Hands down, the TAC-50 is the best in the game. If you like to camp and take your shots or even rush in and quickscope, the best loadout for this gun does it all.

It comes with increased ammo to keep you popping off, and we've opted for the Variable Zoom so you can get comfortable shots from differing ranges. Plop a Proximity Mine to the entrance of your encampment and you're golden.
