The first map, MIBR’s pick, saw them dominate early on. With few expecting much from them, MIBR proved they shouldn’t be underestimated. Their first-half attack was well-coordinated, but a shaky defense allowed Team Heretics to close the gap and force overtime. In the end, MIBR proved stronger, winning in a single OT round.

When the draft revealed TH versus MIBR, a video resurfaced of some Heretics players calling aspas a “baiter” and one of the most overrated players. The Brazilian crowd saw this series as karma for those who doubted their team’s strength. The second map favored MIBR much more, as they overcame their usual Corrode struggles with a 9-3 defensive lead. But the team was way too strong, way too confident in themselves and their training. Very coordinated, synchronized, and ready to defeat the runner-up of Champions 2024.
