MIBR vs RRQ: The last spot
RRQ and MIBR have never faced each other on the international stage, understandable, as both are making their debut at VALORANT Champions 2025. Now, it all comes down to this: their final chance, the last hurdle standing between them and the Playoffs. The stage is set to ignite with energy as these two contenders fight for their spot. Only one will advance, and the other will be sent home.
This won’t be an easy battle. MIBR opened strong, taking down BLG 2-0 and sending them to the lower bracket, but fell short against tournament favorites FNATIC in their first shot at reaching the Playoffs. RRQ, on the other hand, struggled early after once again running into FNATIC, just as they did at Masters Toronto, and suffered another defeat. However, they bounced back by eliminating BLG from the competition and now have their sights firmly set on the Playoffs.

MIBR vs RRQ at Champions 2025: Match recaps
Be sure to check back here for all the match highlights as the action unfolds.
Map 1
The first map was a playground for MIBR. They came in confident and ruthless against the Pacific representatives. After T1’s tough defeat, they stood as the last hope for the region to secure another Playoffs spot. But aspas refused to let that happen, delivering insane Waylay plays on Corrode. To say he hasn’t bounced back from the struggles after MIBR’s bootcamp would be a lie; the entire team looks transformed. Their aura, their energy, everything feels different.
Artzin secured a crucial ace, with the entire team playing in perfect coordination and confidence in their potential. From that point, the map looked increasingly difficult for RRQ, who struggled to keep up with the Brazilian squad’s positioning, movement, and overall strategy, even on their own map pick.
RRQ was able to cook some rounds, but that was not enough to conquer the first map. Will MIBR be able to extend their victory to the next map?
Map 2
The second map started solidly for MIBR, as they strung together three consecutive rounds. RRQ managed to take the fourth, but the game still felt out of reach. On Abyss, their attack side was shut down by aspas holding B site with the operator, while xenom’s Astra made every entry attempt even more difficult.
Even when trying to take mid control, RRQ couldn’t find a clean opening to break through. At that point, they desperately needed a mental reset to figure out a way past MIBR’s tight defense. It seemed like the team was lacking in synergy.
However, RRQ was starting to look more put-together. Whatever the coach said during the timeout, it was enough for the team to show some signs of resiliency, starting to slowly come back from a hard first half. No matter how good their round started, MIBR was always able to bounce back and 1v2 or 1v3 RRQ in an almost flawless way. In a 10-4 situation, RRQ's dream was slowly fading away. And with two 13-5, MIBR has qualified for the Champions 2025 Playoffs.
