One of the most intense clashes at VALORANT Champions 2025 is about to unfold, as MIBR and FNATIC battle for a place in the Playoffs.

Few teams in the VALORANT circuit carry the same weight and aura as these two teams. On one side stands MIBR, revitalized and thrust into the spotlight with the arrival of Champions 2022 winner Erick "aspas" Santos.

On the other side, the storied FNATIC, a roster rich in history and led by the charismatic Jake "Boaster" Howlett. Now, these two powerhouses collide in an intense showdown, with a coveted Playoffs spot at Champions 2025 on the line.

Both teams arrive fueled by strong performances. MIBR shocked the crowd with a dominant sweep over Bilibili Gaming, closing the series 2-0. FNATIC matched that result with a convincing victory against RRQ, a familiar opponent they first clashed with back at Masters Toronto.

MIBR vs FNC at Champions 2025: A clash of GOATS

MIBR versus FNATIC is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated clashes of the week. With two massive fan bases behind them, the stakes could not be higher: a ticket to the Champions 2025 Playoffs. The rivalry has history as well, since Boaster and aspas know each other very well, especially after that unforgettable comeback on Icebox at VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, a series still remembered as one of the greatest matches in VALORANT history.

FNATIC came painfully close to lifting the Masters Toronto trophy before falling to Paper Rex, and now their hunger for another international title is stronger than ever. But standing in their way is MIBR, a team brimming with momentum after their stunning victory over BLG, silencing doubters by taking down VCT China’s top seed in commanding fashion.

MIBR vs FNC at Champions 2025: Match recaps

Be sure to check back here for all the match highlights as the action unfolds.

Map 1

Map one turned out to be a huge surprise. For those who doubted MIBR’s firepower, the team proved they have plenty of talent on that roster. FNATIC was completely dismantled by a confident, precise, and fearless MIBR. Even after winning the pistol round and securing three straight rounds in the first half, FNATIC couldn’t take a single round in the second half.

The orange side had no choice but to step back and reset for map two. MIBR looked far stronger than many expected. Even with aspas securing the most kills, every player on the team was making a significant impact.

Map 2

Map two flipped the script. Despite MIBR’s strong start, stringing together four rounds in a row, things quickly turned strange once FNATIC woke up and came back stronger than ever. Even with a 7–5 lead at halftime, MIBR couldn’t withstand FNATIC’s firepower and failed to win a single round in the second half. FNATIC slowly returned to their dominant form, with Alfajer shining on 20 kills. Aspas’s 21 frags weren’t enough to alter the game’s destiny.

Map 3

Haven was a much more balanced map, even if MIBR didn’t get the start they wanted. Slowly, they began to find their rhythm, especially with a streak of four rounds in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tables against one of the tournament favorites. FNATIC closed it out 13–10 in an intense clash they won’t forget anytime soon. With this victory, FNATIC secure the #1 seed in Group C, while MIBR still have a chance to reach the Playoffs if they defeat the winner of the BLG vs RRQ matchup. The dream is not dead yet.
