Last year, this match was must see VALORANT. Now, Sentinels vs Evil Geniuses might be a little less anticipated. While SEN still has a rabid fanbase that will tune in, EG is a far cry from the 2023 World Champions. Still, it is VALORANT, and on any given day, who knows what will happen.

Sentinels vs Evil Geniuses - Will this be another blowout?



A handful of games throughout Super Week have been utter beatdowns. LEV destroyed NRG and 100T shocked C9. Of course, many spectators would have imagined the one-sidedness going the opposite direction.



Will that happen here? It could, but on paper, it is unlikely. Sentinels has a chip on their shoulder after giving up a loss to LEV, after showing off their strength with a Masters Madrid win. This could be a match where they let out their frustration.



As for Evil Geniuses, their match against Sentinels is a must-win. They haven't a had victory since their first series of VCT Americas Kickoff. Can they channel anything at all to upset SEN, or will they just be another mark in the win column?

Evil Geniuses is coming off a world championship victory in 2023, but the team is vastly different. One player who slots into the 2024 version of EG is their new IGL, Nicholas "NaturE" Garrison.



He had quite the shoes to fill coming into this year, and it looks as though the new EG roster is adjusting. Coming off of a VCT Americas Stage 1 loss to Cloud9, we chatted with the IGL about how the team is adjusting.

"Getting a map victory here looks like a better performance than Week 1, from a spectator’s standpoint. Do you feel like this was an improvement, despite the loss?"



NaturE: "Yeah, this week definitely was an improvement, especially with Lotus in general. We had a really rough Lotus last week against G2. We fixed it and cleaned up a lot of our issues. It was small mistakes, especially in the late round. And I think we showed that we fixed that really, really well, in terms of this week."



"What kind of things did the team intend on cleaning up after the loss to G2, and did that happen?"



NaturE: "Lotus was all about late round stuff, making sure that we're doing everything right when we're actually up in advantage. We cleaned up our starting, our openers, and made sure we were really, really good on those.



"Because we lost a few times when we were in a 3v5, stuff like that. And then we just had some oopsies, right, in the first week. I feel like a few of us just messed up and, you know, that happens. We just made sure that we were cool, calm, collected for Lotus because we knew we were really confident on it."

"Okay, well, as the team’s IGL, what kind of pressure do you put on yourself to try to make EG successful?"



NaturE: "I don't think of it as pressure. it's just, I've got to do my job right. It was a lot of small mistakes, even in today's games, that I made. That

VALORANT Premier has been going strong, giving players an in-game competitive system to truly test teams. The system arrived with several divisions, ensuring evenly matched teams during tournaments. And now, VALORANT Premier adds the Invite Division as its originally promised path to pro.



We've got everything you need to know about what's new in Premier and how it works.



VALORANT Premier Invite Division allows teams to qualify to VCT Challengers

The Invite Division comes to VALORANT Premier at the start of Episode 9 Act 1. The launch date for that is scheduled to be June 25, 2024. This gives the highest rated teams within each Premier Zone a chance in the Invite Division to win their qualifications to make VCT Challengers.



We all know what can come after that. VCT Challengers teams can them make it into one of the VCT Ascension tournaments for the four leagues, Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China. The winners of Ascension receive a stay in their respective international VALORANT league.



New Premier promotion standards come with Episode 8 Act 3



The Invite Division of VALORANT Premier will need teams when it kicks off. So, starting in Episode 8 Act 3, invites to the top teams begin to roll out. Contender Division teams that won their playoff tournament, or placed Top 32 in Contender standings, will advance through.



In addition, VALORANT Premier looks to create further opportunities for all levels of play, not just the Invite Division. Episode 8 Act 3, teams that win a playoff tournament will receive a promotion to the next division.







Here are the new rules implemented alongside the Invite Division and promotion updates:




Division promotion is for the team itself, not the players.



Rosters changes do not make a team lose the promotion.



Adding players with much higher MMR may allow for multiple division promotions.



Promotion is only valid for the following stage, so you must play, or seeding rules

VALORANT Premier adds Invite Division as way to qualify for VCT Challengers

VALORANT is one of the most popular multiplayer FPS titles today with thousands of players every day. The game has a thriving esports scene and includes several features that make everyone welcome to join the game. However, there are always mischievous elements and players might feel the need to block certain players from time to time. Here’s how to block players in VALORANT.



What does blocking mean in VALORANT?

VALORANT does a good job of ensuring the player base follows the community guidelines. These include bans or temporary mutes on players who are misusing the voice and text chat. There is also a Report system that ensures there are no loopholes being exploited by mischievous elements of the player base. 



However, sometimes some accounts do get through the report system. If you want to avoid interacting with these accounts, unfortunately, you cannot block them, yet. But that does not mean it will not be a feature added to VALORANT in the future. 



Can you block players in VALORANT?



As of 2023, you cannot block players in VALORANT. The game has a very robust reporting and blocking system that ensures the game provides a favorable experience for all.



However, despite the most robust system, there will still be elements that can slip through. As such, Riot provides players with the option to report these players for a wide variety of reasons.

Will Riot implement a Block system for VALORANT?



Riot developers have confirmed a ‘Block list’ is one of their priorities. In a Reddit comment on October 12, 2023, Riot developer Sara Dadafshar confirmed they are working on a block list.

Riot’s VALORANT receives regular updates that bring gameplay changes or simply serve as a fix to the game. But sometimes, these updates can cause unintended problems in the form of bugs or errors. How to fix the VALORANT Version Mismatch error?



Update the Game



The first step is to update your game. If you read the reason for this error code you will realize the solution is usually very simple. You need to be on the server game version that the server is running. Sometimes the game might launch without updating and that is when the server senses a version mismatch. 




Exit the game



Update VALORANT



Start the game again




In most cases, this will solve your issue. However, if the problem persists then we have a few more steps for you to go through. 



If you are playing in a party, ask your teammates to also update the game on their end. 



Restart PC



The second solution is to restart your PC. Restarting the game flushes the RAM and clears temporary files which might have led to the error persisting despite updating the game.



Reinstall VALORANT



The final step is obviously to reinstall VALORANT. You can uninstall VALORANT and then download it again. 



Here are the steps to uninstall VALORANT. You can then install it again once you have already uninstalled the game.




Navigate to the Taskbar and open the system tray (show hidden icons)



Right-click on the Vanguard icon to open a set of options



Select Exit Vanguard to close the anti-cheat program

Fortnite v29.30 included a long-awaited update to the LEGO game mode, adding animal taming. Players can now lure animals back to their Village and assign them to an Animal House. The animals available to tame include cows, chickens, sheep, and newly added pigs.

Although Battle Royale did not receive a significant update, a legacy weapon has re-entered the loot pool. The Tactical AR, which debuted in Chapter 1, is back in the mix. It spawns in Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities in locations such as Chests and on the ground.

Even if you aren't a Swiftie, you probably have at least heard that her newest album, "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology." Released today, the new record has already pulled in quite a few listeners. One of her songs, though, is called Fortnight. It also features Post Malone on the track. Is it about Fortnite: Battle Royale? Or is it just a coincidence?









Let's get into it.



Was Fortnight named after Fortnite?



While the lyrics suggest a whole different meaning, the song Fortnight by Taylor Swift does have some lore rumored to be around it. 



The song itself seems to be using the traditional meaning of Fortnight, which is "a period of two weeks." However, rumors have serviced that the song was written about an ex-boyfriend of hers who played way too much Fortnite (if there ever was such a thing).







I wouldn't put this past Taylor. I mean, everyone knows that her songs are usually about ex-boyfriends, and Fortnite is a HUGE game. 



Taylor Swift's new album has a song called Fortnight while the game Fortnite is huge. Coincidence? I think not!



I know what you are all thinking: "Fortnight was literally a word before the game Fortnite came out." Yes. I know. I am not here to act like the word originated with the popular Battle Royale that millions across the globe still play. 



But there is no denying, that since the game's release, many have come to think of the Battle Royale whenever they hear the word Fortnight (Fortnite for the gamers). 







So Taylor couldn't possibly release a song with that title thinking no one would relate it to the game, right? I mean... Post Malone is literally featured on the song. He is an avid gamer who has been seen streaming live on Twitch in the past. It only makes sense!



Well, if you look at the lyrics, then no - Fortnight is not about the game Fortnite (unless you relate the part about a storm to the game). But if you look at some of the lore and rumors behind the song, well, we just may be on

Is Taylor Swift's song 'Fortnight' about the game Fortnite?

It's been over six months since Valve officially released CS2, forcing casuals and professionals to adapt to the new game. Even though the developers pushed many updates since September 2023, one of the best CS2 players in the world — FaZe Clan's Robin "ropz" Kool — feels there is still a lot to be done to improve the game.



Since CS2 came out, many professional players have expressed their distaste toward the new game but not all of them cared to relay proper feedback to Valve. Ropz, on the other hand, was pretty vocal when CS2 launched and reported bugs and malfunctions on more than one occasion, helping Valve to fix the game.



Ropz's biggest issues with CS2 at the moment



Although ropz recognized that Valve did improve CS2 since the game came out in September, the FaZe star claimed there are still "many things missing" — especially optimization.




"I think the game is not in a good place at the moment," ropz said in an interview with esports.gg on April 22. "I think optimization is the biggest problem I face right now with tournaments. You go from tournament to tournament, and some might have a good PC, some might have an average PC, but playing CS2 on an average PC is not good enough, FPS-wise."

Not only does CS2 run poorly depending on the specifications, but we've also seen random crashes in some of the biggest tournaments. It happened to Dzhami "Jame" Ali in a crucial round of Virtus.pro versus G2 during the PGL Copenhagen Major in March and to Astralis' star Nicolai "device" Reedtz during the IEM Chengdu semifinals in April.

On top of that, ropz also feels that CS2 is lacking features that

The Pokémon GO Rediscover Kanto event is the next step in the Rediscover GO refresh of Pokémon GO. From Monday April 22 (10am PDT) until Thursday May 9 (8pm PDT) Pokémon from the Kanto region will be spawning in an all new biome system.



A biome system has long been requested for the game. Now, trainers can head out to specific locations in order to hunt the Pokémon that they want. The Rediscover Kanto event is the launch for this system. However, biomes will be remaining in Pokémon GO after this event concludes.

Additionally, evolving the Kanto starter Pokémon during this event will grant them their legacy attacks from past Community Days.
