How to unlock The First Descendant's Hailey Scott after Season 1
There are two ways you can acquire Hailey Scott in The First Descendant. You can either grind out the items to research her or you can just outright pay for her to unlock her. Let's go over how both work.
Research
To research Hailey Scott and unlock her in The First Descendant, you'll need to find Anais. This is where you can see everything that is needed, including how you can obtain them. Just open up the Acquisition Info.
Here's what you need:
- 400,000 Gold
- Hailey Enhanced Cells
- Hailey Stabilizer
- Hailey Spiral Catalyst
- Hailey Data Chip x36
Once you have all of those materials, you can begin the research which takes 16 hours to complete. This can be sped up with Caliber, which fluctuates depending on how much time is left for the research to finish.

If you don't want to go on the grind to unlock Hailey Scott in The First Descendant Season 1, you can purchase her outright. This costs 900 Caliber, which is the premium in-game currency. You'll need to go to the Caliber section of the shop and see how much it costs for your local currency to purchase that amount.

You'll see that the Data Chips are not listed. This is because they don't require research. Instead, to unlock Hailey Scott in The First Descendant, you'll need to do the Season 1 Invasion Dungeon. Success there will give you the Data Chips and the last items listed before the gold requirement of each necessary material.
The patch notes for the new season state that if you clear any Invasion Dungeon, you're guaranteed one of the materials. They are also available in Hard Infiltration Operations. The faster you complete the Dungeon or Operation, the more materials you may get.
