There's a lot of equipment you can slap onto your Descendant. From your weapons and reactors to your components and modules, the perfect build will take a lot of work. First and foremost, you'll need to know what Modules are in The First Descendant. These are items you'll find as mission reward, ground loot, or you can create new ones yourself.

Modules are available for both your Descendant and your weaponry. Your Descendant has space for Skill Modules that power up their abilities, and Sub Modules that can boost HP, defense, and other attributes.

When it comes to your weapons, Modules are more straightforward. You have a certain amount of points for the slots you have, which can be increased, along with limited space for each Module type that is noted by the icon on the Module itself.

Weapon Modules all change certain statistics for the gun in question. You can provide Toxic or Fire damage, lower recoil, increase damage done to weakpoints, and much more.

There's a specific NPC needed, and other items required, so follow these steps to start increasing your Modules' power:

  1. Find Silion, the Module Master, who is the farthest west NPC you can find (northwest of Anais)
  2. Interact with Silion to talk to him and choose the Enhance Module option
  3. Select the equipped Module you would like to enhance in The First Descendant
    • The left side has a list where you can see All, Descendant, or Weapon Modules
  4. Long-press the Enhance button to pay the necessary amount of Kuiper Shards and Gold

The higher the level of the Module, the more it will cost to enhance it. As well, you'll see that some levels require you to reach a certain Mastery Rank to be able to enhance the Module further.
