This creature from myths enters Grow a Garden as a pet with a powerful ability.

If you were present during the Admin Abuse War, there’s a good chance that you got curious as to what the Griffin pet can do in Grow a Garden.

As the rarest pet for the Beanstalk Event expansion, players like you should keep an eye out for this winged beast, as it can affect your crops and pets. So today, we made a guide for you to learn everything about the Griffin, including what it does and how you can maximize its usage if you ever manage to get it.

While active, the Griffin pet can create a cyclone that can hit both pets and crops. Other pets that come in contact with the cyclone will advance their trait cooldowns by 60 seconds, while crops struck will have a 10% chance to obtain the Cyclonic Mutation. This ability triggers every 15 minutes.

This pet basically creates an artificial weather system that only benefits your garden. Its trait is comparable to that of the Queen Bee, but a lot better since the Griffin doesn’t have a limit on the number of pet traits that it can advance.

Cyclonic Mutation’s Multiplier

Crops with the Cyclonic Mutation will have their value multiplied by 50. This makes this mutation on par with other valuable ones in the game like Ancient Amber, Fortune, Sliced, and Blitzshock.

If you can stack the Cyclonic Mutation with Tempestuous on a crop, that crop will get the Maelstrom Mutation, an even better mutation with a x100 multiplier.

Tips for using the Griffin pet and its trading value

Considering you can only get a Griffin from a Skyroot Chest with a dismal chance of 1%, it’s currently one of the most valuable pets in the game.

If you’re interested in acquiring this pet through trade, players who have it might ask for at least 10 sextillion Sheckles or another pet of similar value, such as the Corrupted Kitsune, French Fry Ferret, or Golden Goose.

Since the Griffin’s mutation trait is passive, try feeding it regularly with Small Toys and Medium Toys to increase its chances of mutating crops. You can also equip other pets that can advance trait cooldowns, like the Tarantula Hawk, Queen Bee, Capybara, and Peacock.
