While new players can get up to three free Starter Eggs at the start of the game, getting more pets in Adopt Me! can be quite tricky, especially with most of the rarest critters locked behind the Robux paywall.
Fortunately, there are several ways of growing your pet collection without the need to spend anything. All you need is a bit of patience and time, and you should be able to fill your pet pen with these cute creatures in no time.

- The easiest way to get a free pet in a literal sense is by completing daily tasks. The free pet you’ll get is from the Aztec Egg.
- You can also get free pets from the Basic or Crystal Egg produced as rewards from the Pet Releaser at the Nursery. This is as long as you’re willing to let go of some of the pets in your collection.
- Earning Bucks is also an efficient method to get pets without spending Robux.
- Admin abuse events are also one of the best ways to get lots of goodies, including free pets.
How to get free Adopt Me! pets without Robux
Method 1: Completing Daily Tasks
Aside from free login rewards, playing Adopt Me! every day also gives you a chance to earn a free Aztec Egg by completing a set of daily tasks. These objectives are usually simple, such as having a pet perform a trick or earning Bucks from a job.
To see the tasks that you need to complete, click the task board button on the left side of your screen and look for the Daily Egg tab.
An Aztec Egg hatches into any of the following pets:

Method 2: Farming Bucks
As one of the core mechanics of the game, earning Bucks opens up plenty of things that you can do, including the ability to buy eggs, which you can then take care of until they hatch into pets.
You can earn Bucks by providing the needs of your active pet and earning salaries from the job opportunities available in the Adoption Island.
With enough money, you can buy these eggs in the Nursery:
- Pet Egg ($600)
- Cracked Egg ($350)
- Royal Egg ($1450)
3. Joining events
Keeping yourself updated with the current and future events in Adopt Me! can also give you chances to get event pets by doing specific tasks, such as farming event-exclusive currencies or buying an event item.
Some events, like the Year of the Horse and the Valentine’s Heartbreak, allow participants to get a large number of Bucks and a purchasable item that can be used to acquire an Ultra-Rare pet.

4. Releasing Pets
If you have some low-rarity pets that you’re willing to let go, you can release them back into the wild by going to the Nursery. Releasing multiple pets can reward you with a Basic Egg.
Reaching a threshold of points at the Pet Releaser can allow you to get a Crystal Egg, a rarer pet egg that may contain the Legendary Giant Panda for a small chance of 0.1%.
5. Admin abuse events
Like many Roblox games, Adopt Me! occasionally hosts admin events where the developers can hand out various items to players, including free Neon pets.
