If you’re on Hydra Island right now, you might as well consider farming some Dragon Scales, as these items are useful for doing many things in the game.
Before you can learn the Godhuman fighting style or upgrade powerful weapons such as the True Triple Katana and Skull Guitar, you need to learn how to get Dragon Scales in Blox Fruits first.
Dragon Scales are also staple items to craft the accessory T-Rex Skull as well as the Dragonstorm gun.
Regardless of what you’re trying to do, here are the ways to get this Rare item so you can proceed with farming the other materials you need.
How to get Dragon Scales in Blox Fruits

Dragon Scales are only obtainable as a unique drop from two hostile NPCs on Hydra Island: the Dragon Crew Warriors and the Dragon Crew Archers. Hydra Island is on Third Sea, which is also the place where you can obtain the Draco Race.

To find these NPCs, make the Hydra Island docks your starting point and head west. You’ll eventually reach a location called the Friendly Area, but keep making your way westward until you see several NPCs near the dirt pathway. Those are the Dragon Crew Warriors, and if you Air Jump above them, you’ll find a wide stairway that leads to a small town where the Dragon Crew Archers reside.

To farm Dragon Scales in Blox Fruits, the best NPCs to defeat are the Dragon Crew Warriors. Unlike the Dragon Crew Archers’ location, which is filled with large structures, the Dragon Crew Warriors are situated in an open area, making it easier for you to lure them all into one place where you can set up massive AOE attacks.

Dragon Scales’ drop chance

While the developers never revealed the actual drop chance of the Dragon Scale, we estimate that it's around one Dragon Scale per 20ish Dragon Crew Warriors based on our experience farming the item.
As usual, the best fruit to use in this situation is the Buddha Fruit, thanks to its powerful AOE abilities and a transformation that increases your resistance to damage, just like Aura. Still, because the Dragon Scale is elusive and the game doesn’t guarantee constant drops, you’ll need to stay patient to reach your target amount for the item.
