Isaac will need your help, but the cure you expect is not the one he actually needs.
In The Forge, one of the earliest quests that you can take upon gaining access in the Forgotten Kingdom is finding a cure for Isaac, an NPC sitting in one of the tents near the entrance of the Ruined Cave.
Interacting with Isaac activates the “Cure for Isaac” quest, which involves getting a health potion and bringing it to the poor sickly guy. For many players, this might sound like an easy quest, until they realize that the health potion they brought isn’t the exact type of potion that Isaac needs.

How to get the cure for Isaac in The Forge
While bringing a health potion is technically correct for the quest, what Isaac wants you to get is a Health Potion I, which is not the same as the potion that you can buy in the Forgotten Kingdom’s Potion Shop.
Instead, use your portal to teleport to Stonewake’s Cross and visit the area’s Potion Shop. From here, you can buy a Health Potion I for only $150. Once you have at least one Health Potion I, head back to the Forgotten Kingdom. Interact with Isaac, select the “I brought your potion” dialogue, and Isaac should accept the cure and will thank you for your effort.
The reward for Isaac’s quest
Completing the Cure for Isaac’s quest unlocks the badge of the same name. Other than that, this quest doesn’t give any other beneficial rewards, like XP or money, so feel free to skip this if you’re not interested in completing all the badges for The Forge.
