Feed the giant NPC in the Beanstalk Event, and he’ll give you access to a new set of goods.

It’s been a week since the end of the Cooking Update, but Goliath the Giant is craving some cooked food in Grow a Garden. If you want to satisfy his cravings, this guide is for you.

For the expansion of the Beanstalk Event, players can explore new merchant items at Goliath’s Shop. However, you’ll need to increase your Friendship Level with the Giant NPC first before you can buy them, which involves feeding him with food items.

With the Cooking Pot gone at the center of the map, players are confused as to how they can make meals for Goliath.

Preparing Cooked Food in Grow a Garden

One of the changes in the latest Grow a Garden update is the introduction of the Cooking Pot as a type of utility cosmetic. This means you can still use the Cooking Pot by getting it from your cosmetic inventory and equipping it in your garden just like a regular cosmetic item.

The tricky part, however, is that the Cooking Pot can only be obtained by completing all the common achievements listed under the Core Plants Achievements in your Garden Guide.

Here is a complete list of common achievement tasks that you need to perform if you still don’t have the Cooking Pot cosmetic:

  • Shovel 100 Plants (You can only shovel multi-harvest crops)
  • Harvest 200 Carrots.
  • Gift one Carrot.
  • Sell 500 Strawberries.
  • Gift five Strawberries.

Surely, all of these tasks are doable within a day. The hardest one that you only need to worry about is shoveling 100 plants, which can be completed quickly if you have lots of spare Tomato, Strawberry, and Blueberry seeds.

Once done, open your Garden Guide item and claim all the rewards from all the completed tasks. Go back to the Core Plants Achievement tab, and claim the five Silver Common Seed Packs and the Cooking Pot cosmetic.

Making meals for the Giant

Now that you have the Cooking Pot, you can prepare various meals by using any combination of fruit items as your ingredients. All you need to do is submit all the ingredients to the Cooking Pot and press the cook button once you’re ready.

To create a specific food, check its required ingredients in the food section of your Garden Guide. Some recipes will remain hidden until you create them for the first time. Each meal takes time to prepare before it can be served to the Giant NPC.

Try making multiple cooked foods first before growing the beanstalk and going to the cloud island above to meet the Giant. Once there, feed all the food items to him, and the Friendship Meter above his head will increase.
