Take on Toxtricity in 4-Star Raids during Pokémon GO Wild Area.

During Pokémon GO Wild Area, you can encounter Toxtricity through several different methods. One of the ways is in 4 Star Raid Battles. We don't see a lot of 4 Star Raid Battles in the game, they are usually only for a few hours after a Pokémon GO Community Day.

Usually those 4 Star Raids are local only, however during Wild Area you will be able to join these Raids remotely. That will help you get the Trainers you need to take on Toxtricity.

There are two forms of Toxtricity, Amped and Low Key. Both forms have the same stats and typings, so you can use the same team and strategy no matter which form you are facing.

Here's everything you need to know to take on Toxtricity in Pokémon GO.

Best Toxtricity counters in Pokémon GO:

Toxtricity has a weakness to Psychic-type attacks and a double weakness to Ground-type attacks. It has a resistance to Bug, Electric, Fairy, Fighting, Flying, Grass, Poison and Steel-type attacks. That makes Ground-type Pokémon excellent choices for this Raid.

Here are the best Toxtricity counters in Pokémon GO:

Primal Groudon
Mud Shot & Precipice Blades
Mega Garchomp
Mud Shot & Earth Power
Therian Forme Landorus
Mud Shot & Sandsear Storm

Of course, with the double weakness, this list is all Ground-type Pokémon. There are some fantastic options, including Primal Groudon which is also in Raids during Pokémon GO Wild Area.

In addition, there are also some budget options too. Pokémon such as Mamoswine, Rhyperior, Excadrill and Rhydon are all pretty easy to get your hands on. Don't forget that your Dynamax Excadrill, perfect for Gigantamax Toxtricity Battles, can also be used here too.

Can Toxtricity be shiny in Pokémon GO?

Yes, either form (Amped or Low Key) can be shiny in Pokémon GO after the Raid.

Here are the Pokémon you can Mega Evolve to get more Toxtricity candy in Pokémon GO:

How many trainers do I need to beat Toxtricity in Pokémon GO?

Thanks to it's double weakness to Ground-type attacks, you should be able to beat a Toxtricity solo. However, this will require strong counters, and potentially is only possible with Primal Groudon. Aim for three or more Trainers if you want to play it safe.

Here are the 100% IV CP (Hundo) values to keep your eye out for:
