Get the Challenger’s Ticket in no time with these tips!

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Ticket Points are your prerequisites for obtaining a Challenger’s Ticket. This ticket, in turn, allows you to challenge another Trainer for a promotion match, which is the only way to rise through the ranks of the Z-A Royale.

Reaching Rank A can take some time, but if you know certain ways to maximize the amount of Ticket Points you earn while inside the Battle Zone, you’ll be able to climb the ranks much faster and even unlock exclusive rewards along the way.

How to Get More Ticket Points in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

The main method of collecting Ticket Points is defeating Trainers in the Battle Zone. But to get as many Ticket Points as possible, you only need to practice two things:

1. Complete bonus card tasks

Cards that are scattered inside Battle Zones are called bonus cards. Each bonus card has a certain condition or task in it, and fulfilling it will reward you with extra Ticket Points after a battle.

You can only have three bonus cards at a time. If you find another bonus card while you have three, you can swap it with one of your active bonus cards instead.

Trainers that you defeat in Battle Zones can sometimes offer you a bonus card, which often rewards more Ticket Points when completed.

Some of the most common tasks from bonus cards include landing first strikes, defeating an opponent’s Pokémon with your first blow, and using super-effective moves.

A few bonus card tasks can become quite specific, which makes them difficult to complete. However, successfully clearing these bonus card tasks will reward you with a massive amount of Ticket Points, which might reach as high as 10,000.

Bonus card tasks that involve Mega-Evolved Pokémon can also give you lots of Ticket Points, so keep an eye out for them as well.

Tip: You can see how many prize medals and Ticket Points a bonus card can give by looking under the card’s task.

2. Defeat higher-ranked Trainers

Trainers who have higher ranks than you can be tougher to beat, but you can get more Ticket Points from them compared to those with the same rank as you.

You can check the rank of any Trainer before you battle them by pressing the ZL button. This only works once your Pokémon is within attacking range.

Still short of Z-A Royale Ticket Points? Go kill some time

In case you can’t reach the required amount of Ticket Points for a Challenger’s ticket before the sun comes out, you can jump right back into action by killing some time.

To do this, find a nearby bench and interact with it. A list of options will appear, and select “Kill some time here.” This will help you go to nighttime again and reactivate the Battle Zone.
