Should you be spending time Raiding for Hoopa Unbound this Saturday?
Hoopa Unbound is back in Pokémon GO this Saturday, appearing in a special Raid Day. This has been a previously hard to obtain Pokémon in the game, having only appeared in special Elite Raids last time it was avaliable.
As a result, most Trainers probably don't have Hoopa Unbound in their collection. This means a lot of people will want to head out and take part in the Raid Day on Saturday.
But, once you've added Hoopa Unbound to your collection should you keep Raiding? This Pokémon cannot be shiny, so is it worth hunting the hundo during this Raid Day? Perhaps you might want to take advantage of the higher Remote Raid limit after your in-person Raids are done.
We've got you covered with everything you need to know.

Is it worth Raiding for Hoopa Unbound in Pokémon GO?
Before we dive into the details, what sort of a player you are is obviously a factor here. If you are free to play, spend a little or spend a lot is important to consider. Bear that in mind when going through the following considerations.

Is Hoopa Unbound good in Raids?
In terms of a Raid Attacker, Hoopa Unbound is one of the best Psychic-types in the game. It is the eighth best Psychic-type, but the second best when you excluse Shadow or Mega Pokémon. That makes it a really good option in Raid battles.
It does not need any special moves, with its entire moveset avaliable with regular TMs.
As a Dark-type or in the Ghost-type category Hoopa Unbound also sits inside the top 20, making this a very flexible Pokémon to use too.
What about in PvP?
That usefulness ends with PvP sadly. Hoopa Unbound does not provide much use in Pokémon GO PvP. It ranks 81 in the Master League, which makes it not worth the investment. To get enough XL candy to max it out would be very expensive, so you are much better directing that resource to a stronger Pokémon.
