How do you get this Ultra Beast?

Pokémon GO is all about Ultra Beasts at the moment. GO Fest is full of them, we've seen Ultra Wormholes appearing and Necrozma is set to make its debut. But, finally we can also now get Naganadel in Pokémon GO.

We knew that Naganadel's Pokémon GO release was going to be this season. At the start of the season, all players were awarded an encounter with Poipole. This legendary Pokémon, first seen in Sword and Shield, evolves into Naganadel.

Can you get Naganadel in Pokémon GO?

Naganadel evolves from Poipole. It will cost 200 Candy. You will also have to catch 20 Dragon-type Pokémon with Poipole as your Buddy.

From May 23, you can now officially get Naganadel in Pokémon GO. After much waiting, we finally have the option to evolve Poipole in Pokémon GO.

Until now, the season long Special Research had awarded players 125 Poipole Candy.

The final page awards us an extra 100 Poipole Candy. This means we can all evolve Poipole into Naganadel without having to use any Rare Candy or walk Poipole as our buddy.

Naganadel best Pokémon GO moveset

With Naganadel finally here, we can already look at what sort Pokémon it is. Naganadel is a Poison and Dragon-type Pokémon, with a max CP of 3587.

As a Dragon-type, it won't really make much of an impact. We have some already insanely powerful Pokémon in that category including the likes of Mega Rayquaza and Origin forme Palkia.

However, as a Poison-type it should be pretty good. It's projected that Naganadel will be about as good as Gengar in the Poison-type category as a Raid Attacker.

The best moves for Naganadel will be:

  • Poison Jab (Fast Attack)
  • Sludge Bomb (Charged Attack)

Naganadel can also learn Air Slash for a Fast Attack. Additionally, it can learn Dragon Pulse, Fell Stinger and Acrobatics for Charged Attacks.

In terms of PvP, sadly, Naganadel is not likely to be good in either Master League or Ultra League.
