The new Pokémon Legends: Z-A introduced a new feature called “Wild Zones,” where you catch and battle Pokémon in. Here is how many there are.

Wild Zones are a huge part of the new Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A. However, there are only a select number of Wild Zones in the game. So, how many Wild Zones are in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

Number of Wild Zones in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

There are currently only 20 Wild Zones in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. However, if there is ever an expansion that releases, we could see more Wild Zones added to the game.

At the start, you have access to six different Wild Zones. Each one has weaker Pokémon for you to take on. As the game progresses, you will have access to the other ones, which will become increasingly more difficult.

This is Pokémon Legends: Z-A's way of giving us a wild area, but inside a city.

Then, once you complete the game and the credits finish rolling, there will be Wild Zone 20, which will have Pokémon like the three starters and even the Kanto region starters.

What are Wild Zones?

Some of you may be reading this with zero idea just what a Wild Zone is. These small enclosed areas can be found throughout Lumiose City and contain Pokémon in them. These Pokémon cannot leave the zones, so your only way to catch or battle them is by entering the zones.

The lower the number of the zone, the weaker the Pokémon in it will be. This is a great way to assess whether or not you have strong enough Pokémon to be entering a Wild Zone.

Wild Zones could possibly be a big addition to the future of Pokémon, as we do know Nintendo is working on a Gen 10 game. Would you like to see Wild Zones return in the future? Or should Fortnite return to grassy areas?
