Everything you need to know to fill that mysterious 0647 slot in your Pokémon GO PokéDex.

For a lot of Trainers, the 0647 slot in their Pokémon GO PokéDex is now the only gap left in their Unova collection. After the recent Unova Tour, Trainers were able to grab any Pokémon they were missing, including the a different Mythical Pokémon, Victini. However, there was one notable absence. Keldeo.

This Pokémon, that sits in the 0647 slot, was not avaliable during the Unova Tour. The featured mythical for the event released via Masterwork was instead shiny Meloetta.

That means that for a lot of Trainers, Keldeo is the only Unova Pokémon missing from their collection. So, how can you get your hands on Pokémon 0647 and complete your Unova Dex in Pokémon GO?

How do you get Keldeo in Pokémon GO?

Keldeo is a mythical Pokémon, and like other mythicals was initially released through a Special Research quest. This release was all the way back in December 2022, with the Mythic Blade event. During this event, Trainers had the chance to purchase the Something Extraordinary Special Research for $7.99.

This was only avaliable during the event and you can no longer purchase it. So, unless you have that Special Research sat uncomplete in Pokémon GO, there is currently no other way to get Keldeo in the game. You cannot Trade another Trainer for Keldeo either.

Will Keldeo be avaliable again in Pokémon GO?

It is likely that at some point in the future, Niantic will re-release Keldeo. They have re-released several Mythical Pokémon. However, the Unova Tour seemed a great chance to re-release Keldeo, but they chose not too.

Instead, another mythical, Victini, was given as a reward for purchasing the Tour Pass Deluxe. Then the Masterwork Research for the Unova Tour featured shiny Meloetta.

At some point, Keldeo will re-release. Niantic know that the name of the game is collecting, and there are a lot of Trainers who didn't get the chance to grab Keldeo and fill their 0647 slot in Pokémon GO. This might be a long wait still, and it might actually be the shiny version of Keldeo we get next instead of a re-release.

One thing we can guarantee though. When Keldeo returns, be prepared to have to pay to get your hands on it.
