The Triumphant Light booster packed released in Pokémon TCG Pocket at the end of February, and we've got the best cards for you to pull. There are plenty of game changers, but only a handful find themselves in the top tier.

The five best cards you can pull from Triumphant Light in Pokémon TCG Pocket
Triumphant Light is labeled A2a and there is only one pack in the set. Unlike Genetic Apex and Space-Time Smackdown with their varying packs and art, you'll only find the one pack to rip open with Arceus on the front.
After a round of leaks revealed the set, it was confirmed at the Pokémon Presents. And now with it officially in Pokémon TCG Pocket, we know exactly what our best cards are that you can pull from Triumphant Light.
Here they are in no particular order:
Arceus EX (Immersive Rare)
- Fabled Luster (Ability): This Pokémon can't be affected by any Special Conditions.
- Ultimate Force: 3 Any Energy, 70 Damage - This Attack does 20 more damage for each of your Benched Pokémon.
We actually pulled this one in our third pack of Triumphant Light. And we believe it is far superior to the even rarer gold variation, simply because of its immersive artwork you can view at any time after obtaining it.
Not to mention, it is a beast in battle. Many cards from the set get a boost with Arceus EX in play. The card also is formidable all on its own, not needing a pre-evolution and only taking three Energy of any kind to do a 70 damage attack with 20 more for each bench Pokémon? Yes please.
Glaceon EX (Super Rare)
- Snow Terrain (Ability): During Pokémon Checkup, if this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, do 10 damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon.
- Freezing Wind: 2 Water Energy, 1 Any Energy, 90 Damage
We'd argue this is better than the full art variant. And it's definitely one of the best Pokémon TCG Pocket cards you can pull out of the Triumphant Light set. The freezing sparkle behind the excited Glaceon is just plain beautiful.
And with only needing three Energy and an Eevee to evolve from, this can be a very damaging card against Fire-type and Electric-type decks. Especially because it's weakness is to Metal damage. The chip damage from its Ability is invaluable.

Irida (Super Rare)
- Heal 40 damage from each of your Pokémon that has any Water Energy attached.
The full art trainer cards are great, and this is one of the best ones from Triumphant Light in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The blue behind Irida sparkles and glistens like the Water-types she heals with the card's ability.
Just say hello to Misty's new best friend. Get yourself a Water-type deck with Irida and Misty in there. You'll need some lucky with the Misty's flips, but that can set you up to attack and this one can keep you alive with healing if you need to wait a little longer to tack on that Energy.
Houndoom (Art Rare)
- Corner: 1 Fire Energy, 1 Any Energy, 60 Damage - During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat.
If you're looking for that last piece of your Fire-type deck puzzle, look no further than Houndoom. And of course, we're a little biased here, but the full art variant in Triumphant Light is absolutely incredible. This Pokémon's fierceness is on full display.
It won't be a mega-powerful attacker, but it can hold its own if you can get it out quick with a Houndour to evolve from. A 60 damage attack is nothing to scoff out, and it will stop the opposing Pokémon from retreating, so you can just light it up over and over.
Garchomp EX (Special Art Rare)
- Linear Attack: 1 Fighting Energy - This attack does 50 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon.
- Dragon Claw: 2 Fighting Energy, 1 Any Energy, 100 Damage
Garchomp is powerful no matter if it is in the main games or the TCG. And that's why it is one of the best cards you can pull in Pokémon TCG Pocket from Triumphant Light. It is just plain powerful.
We chose the two-star art rare as our favorite. It might take a bit getting the third stage evolution out, but its card fighting Arceus atop the peaks of mountains is breathtaking. If that's not enough to stagger your opponent, then it's 170 HP and 100 damage Dragon Claw will.
