Here's what you should know before jumping into the Junkenstein's Lab game mode.
Week 4 of the Overwatch Anniversary 2025 event is now live! This week, players can enter the Junkenstein’s Laboratory game mode. Before duking it out, however, make sure to catch up on each hero’s kit. Read on for all of the Overwatch 2 Junkenstein’s Laboratory patch notes, which go over every Junkenstein’s Laboratory mutation.
Overwatch 2 Junkenstein’s Lab patch notes
In terms of tank heroes, players can choose from Reinhardt, Orisa, and D.Va. As for the damage heroes, the available ones are Ashe, Genji, Pharah, Reaper, and Soldier: 76. Meanwhile, the available supports include Kiriko, Mercy, Moira, and Zenyatta. All of these heroes have green, blue, purple, and orange mutations that change up their abilities. Reinhardt’s purple Scorched Earth Fire Strike mutation, for example, leaves a trail of lava on the ground. Before the start of each round, right-click to equip your mutations.

Increases the number of Fire Strike charges by 1. Cooldown increases by 30%.
Macabre Transfusion
Shield heals allies within 6m for 30% of the damage drained.
Scorched Earth
Fire Strike leaves a trail of scorched enemies on the ground. The trail deals 30 damage.

Annihilation
Causes an explosion in a 3 meter radius when Charging.
Blazing Grave
For 3 seconds after using Earthshatter, each swing of Reinhardt’s Hammer sends out a fiery blast.
Demonic Fury
Attack speed and damage increased by up to 25% based on missing health.
Spectral Shield
Shield is activated while charging. Increases knockback by 25% and knockback damage by 100%.
Monster Bash
Gain Shield Slam. While Shield is active, using a quick melee attack damages and stuns nearby enemies. The cooldown is 8 seconds.

Sanguine Strike
Swift Strike deflects projectiles, and the first strike that hits an enemy wounds them. This deals 75 damage over 3 seconds.
Twisted Power
Pressing Primary Fire while Deflect is active causes all deflected projectiles to briefly deal 150% additional damage.

Dragon’s Breath
When attacking with Genji’s Dragonblade, it also fires a large piercing projectile that deals 100% of the damage from Dragonblade.
Master Ward
Deflection protects in all directions, and the cooldown increases by 3 seconds.
Scary Strikes
Swift Strike gains 1 additional charge, but its cooldown is increased by 30% and doesn’t reset on kills.
Shuriken Storm
Deflecting a projectile fires shurikens aimed at the attacker. Shuriken deals 1 damage.
Unfinished Business
After dealing 200 damage with Genji’s primary fire, his next secondary fire sends out 9 Shurikens that deal minor critical hits.
