After years of anticipation, Nintendo has finally unveiled its newest console, the Switch 2. The successor to one of the most successful consoles of all time, the Switch 2 looks to be what fans have been expecting for the past two years. Naturally, there's a long line of players who are already looking to pre-order the Switch 2 following its reveal.
Nintendo didn't offer a firm release date for the console, but we know it's arriving sometime in May or June of this year. While that's several months away, it gives you time to get a pre-order set so you can be one of the first to own the successor to the Switch. Below, we'll go all over the pre-order details you need to know about the Switch 2.

Unfortunately, there are no pre-order details announced yet for the Switch 2. The big reveal for the console on Jan. 16 was simply a trailer and the announcement for the Switch 2 Experience, a series of events where fans can get hands-on time with the console.
While this is slightly disappointing for fans who were hoping to get their order for in the console today, the pre-orders should go live over the next couple of months. The Switch 2 Experience events are happening from the beginning of April to the end of May. Shortly after the Experience events end is when Nintendo will likely release the Switch 2.
As such, we can presumably expect pre-orders for the console to go live during the period when the Experience events are going on or before they occur. The pre-orders could be announced during a rumored games reveal event for the Switch 2, which would likely happen before the Experience events.
Whenever the pre-orders are announced, though, make sure you're tapped into the Nintendo website, as it will be flooded with other players looking to ensure their ownership of the console. You could also go through a retailer to pre-order the console.
