Destiny Rising's release date is on the horizon, and there’s plenty to look forward to. This upcoming gacha game from NetEase is easily one of the most anticipated mobile game releases of the year, and it recently surpassed 10 million pre-registrations.
Destiny Rising takes place in an alternate Destiny universe, in which you play as legendary heroes (including both familiar & new faces), each with unique abilities and playstyles. It’s still a classic Destiny experience, despite it being playable in both first and third-person perspectives.

When is the Destiny Rising release date?
Destiny Rising will be available to play on August 28, 2025. We don’t know when the servers will go live, though NetEase will likely confirm the timings soon.

It’s worth noting that Destiny Rising (on iOS) will be available globally, except for a few Asian and European countries. This includes Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Armenia, China, Hong Kong, India, Macau, and Taiwan. There’s no word on which regions the Android version of the game won’t be available, at least at launch.

When can you preload Destiny Rising?
Destiny Rising preload begins on August 27 at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET. You can enable auto-download on the App Store or Google Play Store to automatically download Destiny Rising on your device when it’s available.
In case you haven’t yet, you may want to pre-register Destiny Rising on your preferred storefront to claim free rewards at launch, which include crafting materials and an exotic ornament.
